  • It's a new month, dah'lings!! Let's pick up the pace a bit. I, for one, am planning on wearing a one-piece this summer!

Anyone who would like to join us, come on in!!

Congratulations to those of you who participated in January. (DancingAngel, you Queen, you!! )
  • I'm sorta new here. What is the challenge, exactly?
  • Welcome, Margarita!

Basically, we're just challenging ourselves. To do a little more than we did yesterday... to do enough that we feel good about ourselves.
I'm starting a new "diet" program tomorrow, and with it comes a commitment to exercise. I'll be posting my daily exercise minutes here with the others...
We'd love to have you join us!
  • Thanks for the welcome and the invitation. Okay, I'm in for February. I'm presently trying to build up my stamina for a 7-mile race in May. I only plan to walk the race, not run, but it's still a challenge because I'm the heaviest I've ever been in my life, and very out of shape. I really do hope to see some positive changes by the end of this month.

I'm looking forward to reading about everyone else's challenges.
  • hello ..I would like to join you in this challenge...my goal is to get in more exercise...for the month of Jan I only got in 658 minutes of exercise...this month I would like to challenge myself to do over 1000 minutes
  • Hi everyone. I had a grand total of 1276 minutes for January!

Yesterday I walked for 30 minutes and snuck in 5 minutes of yoga at the office.

    ****

    2/01 - 35 minutes total - 30 walking; 5 yoga

    October = 1176; November = 1235; December 1192; January 1276
  • well yesterday was a good start..I got in 75 minutes of exercise...Have not done todays yet..
  • Good going, girls!

Until I see my new trainer next week, I'm just going to keep track of the steps I'm counting on my pedometer. I want to work up to 10 000 a day.

    Feb 2 - 3317
  • morning everyone

lots of good goals here...well yesterday I got in 45 mins on bike....thats a total of 120 minutes for the first 2 days...I'm off to a great start..

How is everyone else doing so far on their Feb goal?
  • Can I join you guys...my exercise goal is to

work out for at least 30 minutes after the boys go down every night...30 minutes isn't a whole lot and that's why I've set my goal for every night. It means I miss one tv show a night while I hit the treadmill or the bike in the basement and better myself...well worth it.
  • Welcome, Donna! We're glad to have you join us.
  • My goal, now that I've thought about it some, is to increase my daily aerobic exercise to 40 or 45 minutes a day by the end of the month. (By "daily", I mean Monday through Friday.) I started in January with just 25 minutes a day, and am now up to 35 minutes. This is all in preparation for a 7-mile walk I hope to take part in, in May. Right now my weight is at an all-time high, and my stamina is at an all-time low. Any improvement will be a victory.

I also plan to resume contradancing with DH in mid-February. We started back in the fall, but I realized after the first couple of lessons that I was too out of shape to participate. It took me almost 25 years to get him to agree to go dancing with me. Now that he's willing, I'm determined to get into good enough shape to take advantage of the opportunity.
  • Hi all - i'm trying hard. Did 60 minutes Wednesday and 120 minutes Thursday. Just don't feel like it today - I'm sore from a mat pilates class. Can someone tell me how I can find this site again? I keep posting in different sites and then I can't find them. I'm sure someone has responded to one of my posts (or at least I hope so) - but i can't find anything!
  • I'm in

My B-day is in March and want to feel and look good !
  • I am in. My exercise goals are in my sig - I really need to star weight training and am getting weights at Modell's tomorrow! I also want to ban cravings and overeating (I know it's impossible to do it all the time, but possibly some) because it is making me stay at a plateau.
