Hi All,
I'm home today with a very sick Peter.

We went to the Dr. yesterday and she prescribed Accu-Neb 4x/day & Pulmacort 2x/day nebulizer treatments. She wanted me to take him to the ER to check his O2 and get a neb tx and chest xray. Since it was an emergency visit, there were no nurses, and she didn't know how to work the O2 thing (that they put on the finger) or the nebulizer...HUH?? So I told her we have a nebulizer, and she was like, oh, he has asthma?! It was like dejavu from last week with RObby. I said, no, he doesn't. It was prescribed when he was baby and was sick one time and was wheezing. I left aggravated, but decided that if he's not signifigantly better by noon today, I will take him back to the Dr., and to the ER, if necessary, for a chest xray. We gave him a couple treatments each yesterday and he did sleep much better. Isn't coughing as much...barely actually. Still very snotty, but that's because he refuses to blow his nose or let me suck it out.

What is it with kids not wanting to blow?! Anyway, this is all more than any of you really needed to know!!
RR, is RAD the new buzz term for asthma? I did a little research last night and found an article from the AAP that says basically that's what they say he has when they can't definitively say it's asthma. Which is what I figured...they both have "asthmatic" type symptoms. Kind of like, my mom does not have asthma, but she gets "asthmatic bronchitis" every winter...right??
OK, enough of that! I went to the farmer's market around the corner yesterday. Got lots of fruit and veggies and am bound and determined to stick with all...OK...mostly healthy stuff this week. I bought carrots and will cut up sticks to keep in the fridge. Same thing for celery...dh likes it more than me, but will make a good quick snack w/PB. I bought some big sweet potatoes and regular potatoes to nuke for lunch with FF chili or veggies and LF cheese. I'm going to look through my cook books today for some tasty meals.
Have a great day all!
