Can someone tell me if you calculate the points differently now that its called winning points? I know the point ranges are different...just trying to jump right in...
There are a few changes. When you calculate the fiber, the maximum fiber you are allowed is 4g per serving. If a food has 5, for example, you would use 4. Also, a few veggies--carrots, onions, and jicama are now 1 point per serving. As far as I know, these are the only point changes.
Seventy Foods have changed points -- in terms of not only the points allocated to the food (as was pointed out, carrots, jicama, onions, now 1 point per cup) but also portions. Portions have changed == tuna used to be 2 points for 2 ounce serving. It is now 3 points for a 4 ounce serving. On the whole, 70 different items have gone either UP or down. Additionally, the RANGE for your weight has changed: Formerly, the eating range was 7 points. It is now only 5 because they have increased the weights in the range (to the over 350lb mark) where before we capped it at 250. Here it is:
Weight Points Range
less than 150 18-23
150-174 20-25
175-199 22-27
200-224 24-29
225-249 26-31
250-274 28-33
275-299 29-34
300-324 30-35
325-349 31-36
over 350 32-37
Good Luck! And, let us know how you make out. It's a terrific program, which you know of course. If you need help, support, or info, this is certainly the place to find it. Take care.
