need a weight loss buddy

  • HI, I am 33 years old and the mother of 2 boys. I currently weigh 172 pounds. I would like to lose at least 20 pounds within 6 months. I have a weakness for anything sweet! I would like to buddy up with a woman around the same age and also a mother because you know some of the challenges we face as moms. But hopefully together we can achive our goals. I am expecting to drop those extra pounds by exercising (slowly to start) and eliminating fried food and junk food while trying to eat more fruits and vegetables.
  • Your approach sounds similar to mine...I am not following a specific diet plan, but just trying to make slow changes - increase my water intake, eat more fruits/veggies, and cut out fast food. I plan to add exercise in slowly as well that way I am not so overwhelmed.
  • Hi I'm a little older than you but I have 50 lbs to lose and can use all the help I can get. I'm married to a man who loves me fat or thin, we have 2 grown sons. I'm trying to eat a low carb diet and get plenty of water. If you'd like to bussy up let me know. Oh and I'm starting exercise slowly. Walked 1 mile yeaterday, but have a bum foot today so resting it.

    I am 39, a mom, and work part time. My highest weight was when my 5 year old daughter was born. I have maintained my weight around 170 for the last 2 years. I am READY to lose those last 20 pounds, and I want to lose them by August 5th, my *gulp* 40th birthday. Let's buddy up!

  • My plan...
    I don't really follow a "plan" and no foods are forbidden. However, I try to eat healthy choices, smaller portions, etc. My biggest stumbling block is that I hate exercise.

    I lost my weight slowly and steadily, with some plateaus along the way. It took me two years to lose the first 45-50. I did it by cutting back and walking. I sometimes did free weights, I need to get back into that. I also enjoy swimming when it is warm, we have a neighborhood pool.

  • I am trying to eat low carb, my down fall is night eating. Althogh I am trying my best to curb that! They say losing slow is the best...
