Hello, Everyone ~

  • Hi there!

I used to post on here as Marinetubamom, but I drifted off the beach and wandered off into the land of calories and chocolate. Approaching my 40th birthday, I decided to give WW a try. It worked at first, but I quickly plateau'd and then lost interest. Although I had a great support group over there, I didn't feel right posting since I had left the program entirely.

Recently, my husband told me that he wished I would consider going back to the Beach. He said my moods were always so much better and I seemed happier and healthier. Soooo, here I am.

I have given this some serious thought and decided that I do miss lounging on the Beach with ya'll, and I still do eat a lot of the recipes, etc that I learned here. I'm going to do my best to stay committed to the program, but I might need a kick in the pants every now and again. And I know there are some ladies here who could do it, too!

    Guess I'll re-introduce myself!

My name is Aileen and I live in North Carolina - right outside Charlotte. I just turned 40 in October, and it was probably my best birthday ever. I am happily married to Darrell, and am the proud mom of three of the best kids ever. John is 19 and a US Marine; Adam is 18 and graduating this year (Look out, Western Carolina! He's on his way soon!); Olivia is almost 12 and in 6th grade this year.

I am looking forward to getting to know all of you (again) and cheering you on while you become big losers!

Laurie, Ruth, is my towel still available?

    Hugs, ya'll!
    Aileen
  • Absolutely, Aileen! I think a lot of us have tried other plans just to be sure this is the right one for us. I'd love to be able to do WW, but when I eat sugar, I just can't stay within my points, so it never worked for me.

I hope you'll find this time around easier and more energizing. One thing you really need to examine is why it didn't go well the first time. What can you do to be more successful this time? What can you change? What do you need help with?

We're here for you, hon. Ruth is great at kicking people in the behind...and I know of a few other Beachies who are good at it too. Spread out your towel and get comfy!
  • Welcome Back....my foot is ready to kick =)
  • back, Aileen. We all wander off the Beach. I've been in the quicksand part myself for a while and find it really hard to kick my own butt!
