My friends say this is wonderful, hard for me to believe but I am willing to try it. Anyone ever eat pineapple chunks on their pizza and what do you think of it?
It's wonderful! A lot of places around here make a Hawaiian pizza - it's canadian bacon and pineapple and some places add green bell peppers and/or onions and garlic.
Is it a Canadian thing maybe? I grew up eating Ham and Pinapple pizza and love it. the combination of salt and sweet is great
A nice touch is to swap the tomato sauce for sweet and sour. Yum!

I grew up with pineapple on pizza also, and agree that the combo of salt and sweet is fantastic! Once, when passing through a small southern Illinois town, we were offered sliced apples on pizza. Had them with sausage and green peppers--different and delicious!
Another fun thing to do is to throw fresh fruit in green salads. Most of us've had the spinach-and-orange or field greens/romaine-and-dried-berries combo, but it also tastes good to throw fresh strawberries or cubed papaya or mango into a plain green salad with a simple vinaigrette (I make mine without oil, but a little canola is good on these, too; it doesn't fight with the fruit the way olive oil does). Since I love veggies much more than fruits, I appreciate these ways to sneak fruits into my diet!
The Hawaiin pizza describes above (Canadian bacon, pineapple, green pepper, onions) is to DIE for! If you haven't tried it yet, you are really missing out!!!
