Mini goals

  • Even though those "kiss em goodbye" goals are major for me (you know, the 260s, the 250s, etc.) I decided to come up with some more meaningful goals to put in my siggy.

    263: Starting point
    253: 1st 10 pounds
244: Less than 100 pounds to lose
    237: First 10% goal
231: Below where I was when I gave up my last diet/exercise plan
    211: 2nd 10% goal
    199: One-derland!
    184: 3rd 10% goal
168: Below my last "normal-feeling" weight
    158: 4th 10% goal
    145: ULTIMATE GOAL!
140: Icing on the cake goal
  • Maggie I LOVE Mini Goals. I haven't actually thought much about mine since I gave up WW on my own in Jan and tried a couple other plans. HMMMM?! What would my mini goals be? I am gonna count from my current starting weight, but there are a couple that I'd add in from my original starting weight in September.

194:that is my lowest I've seen since I started losing weight in September I want to see it again, which also happens to be 30 pounds from my original starting weight.
    191: my 1st 10%
    180: 10% as of 191
174: 50 pounds from my original starting weight
150: where I was when I met my husband and he thought I was 130 and will argue with me about it
162: 50 pounds from my current starting weight
140: where I was when I tried my first diet and thought I was so fat it was sickening
135:Ultimate goal. This is the weight I was when I was in Jr. High. It seems a bit too low to me as I was NOT fat in Jr. High, just very muscular. I think I would be happy at 150 if I had the same low percentage of body fat as I did back then.
  • OK, as you can see, I need ALOT of goals. Makes me feel good hitting a goal all the time. Sorry so long...I have HALF of me to lose!

    304: Starting point
    294: 1st ten pounds GONE
    284: 2nd ten pounds GONE
    274: 3rd ten pounds GONE

    273: First 10% goal
    264: 4th ten pounds GONE
    254: 5th ten pounds GONE

    245: 2nd 10% goal AND 6th 10 pounds GONE
    235: 7th ten pounds GONE
    225: 8th ten pounds GONE

    220: 3rd 10% goal
    215: 9th ten pounds GONE
    205: 10th ten pounds GONE

  • This is good because they say we need to change our thinking in to that we can do this and achieve our goals! Right now I just am working on getting to my 10% goal. Is anyone else scared because when you reach it everyone at the meeting will know how much you weighed? My meeting has a lot of smaller people. I am one of the biggest even at ww This can be discouraging. But hey I will never weigh this much again! I pray.
  • Hey, luflic--some of those "smaller" people may have already lost a lot of weight. You just never know. Plus, at least at my meetings, everyone is so supportive, regardless of size.

    Beginning weight = 182

    Beginning WW weight = 175.6

my first 10% & BMI within healthy range = 164

    WW 10% = 158

    Overall goal = 155 (I think)
  • Oh, Luflic.... "smaller" people OWN the rest of the freakin' world. Our WW meetings is one place where we do not have to feel uncomfortable about our weight.
  • My mistake in the past was looking at the whole amount of weight I needed to loose, so I'm doing it different this time. I'm going by 10 lb increments. I think for me thats better, cause it seems a whole lot easier to loose 10 lbs 7 times, than 70 lbs.

    My short term goals:

    Starting Weight - 270
    1st 10lb goal - 260 - July 4th - achieved July 10th
    2nd 10lb goal - 249 - August 10 - I didn't make it, but I'm almost there!!

I don't set my next 10 lb goal until that weigh in day when I've actually gotten there.

    My 1st long term goal

    200 lbs by Dec 1, 2005.

When I set that goal, I just picked a date, I have a feeling I'll need to readjust that date but my goal is to get to 200 lbs again. I want to see what I look like at a toned 200 lbs and what size I am. Ultimately I just want to be a size 13/14 or so. I don't want to HAVE to shop at LB or the plus size department. I know a 14 isn't that small of a size, but I'm realistic. With my body type, there is no way I'm going to be a size 5, and I'm ok with that. I'm kinda tall, I have large hands, large feet, large breasts, and a large butt. I just would not look normal being that small.

I was 175 - 180 when I graduated high school. The dress I wore to graduation was a size 14. If I can wear that dress and be 200 lbs... lol thats fine with me Besides I have a whole wardrobe of size 14 - 16 clothes that I want to wear again, and I have quite a few things that still have the tags on them that I want to wear for the first time.

I guess I was a little wordy... lol sorry for the long post!
