From 226 to 135!!

  • Hi everyone!
I'm kinda new to the forums but have been hanging around the 3fc chat rooms for a long time "CSK/nobiad" . It took me a little over a year, but I have managed to shed almost 100 lbs. How? Lowered my calorie intake, and got more physical! Guess thats all it takes. I strongly recommend visiting the 3FC live chat. The gals in there are wonderful, and supportive (especially when you're tempted to eat an entire pack of oreos, they'll talk ya out of it). I've got another 20 lbs to go, but that hasn't stopped me from purchasing my first bikini (something I never thought I could wear a year ago)

I wish you all the best of luck! NEVER give up, NEVER give in!!!!

  • Nobiad,

    A BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!!!

100!! Awewsome. I have started to take in less calories each day and you are right it works. I am walking at lunchtime while at work instead of stuiffing my mouth with restaurant foods.

What kind of training are you doing?

I will definitely check out the live chat. I have never been there before. Thanks.

I went to your web site, out of curious. You look so beautiful. I love inspiring stories like yours. Right now I am a size 22/24 as well...and I am really trying to get myself down to a good weight. I think this time it's different because I really am enjoying being more active. I get cravings to go for walks now, instead of eating oreos, or chocolate. My weakness is salty foods...i LOVE french fries..and i LOVE fast food....yuck, huh? ANYone who loses weight should be in the hall of fame, because it's SO TOUGH. CONGRATS. You have inspired me. :-)

    Nobiad,
thanks for sharing your accomplishments. The pictures on your site are great.. Thanks for the inspiration! I can't Wait to get to my goal Weight..or when I am happy with my body image. My heaviest weight was 276...probably more, but after seeing that on the scale, I didn't weigh myself again afterward, until I started to take off the weight.. I have lost 95 pounds..Wearing a size 14 now. How tall are you? This is the link to my weight loss page. I have a lot of other things on my site.

  • I don't take anything from your achievement which I think is fantastic but please remember that not everyone can go out and exercise. I have arthritis and can only walk for short distances with the help of a cane.
  • CONGRATULATIONS!!

You have done wonderful! I started out a little bit above your start weight and since I'm 5'10" I won't get near 135. I am looking forward to posting on the sucess board at the end of the year. The way you lost weight is a testimate to the fact that you don't have to take "magic" pills. As for the exercising: I have a heart condition (had a heart attack at 28), an injured, arthritic knee, a killer job, three kids and a husband and still manage to exercise five time a week. There is no way I would be this successful if I didn't exercise. My heart has gotten better and so has my knee. Sometimes you have to move something for it to get better.

I am very happy for you and wish you much luck in maintaining your goal. I'm sure you must be elated with yourself, as you should be.

  • As for what kind of training I do....

I jog, walk, rollerblade, and happen to be employed as a courier lifting heavy boxes, and such all day. I have also stopped taking elevators, which means sometimes I'm walking 12 flights of stairs... but it's all worth it. Once a month I have a delivery route in a downtown area, I've learned just to park my truck, and walk with my deliveries which I've calculated as a 7 mile walk. It's great! Couldn't have done that a year ago.

I don't eat red meat anymore.

Oh, and for those who asked regarding my height. I am a very tall 5'0 5'1 when I'm wearing my cowboy boots.

I have to add a new achievment... I'm officially a size 7! I went to help my girlfriend clean out her closet this evening... She's a former beauty pagenent gal, and has some great clothes that don't fit her anymore... I got brave and tryed to slip into some size 7 shorts..... they fit! I took a pair of her size 4's for inspiration.

My next goal..... To stop smoking. I stopped for 2 years, but then the job, the men, the divorce, the everything caught up, and I started smoking again... sigh... I'll quit by the years end...

Thanks for all your kind words...
