question about Coffee

  • Hi, I'm new to this but do love the south beach way, have went thru phase 1 lost 6 pounds, have a thyroid problem, so I won't beat myself up about it. ( at least the scale is going in the right direction this time...)
    My question is it ok to have real coffee on the SB diet? I know the book says decaf when it gives diet menues, any imput is GREATLY appreciated...Thanks

  • I wouldn't be able to function without my coffee. I use creamer too. I make sure that it is the lowest sugar possible though.

  • Alot of the chicks use leaded it just depends on you and your body. For some it stalls their weight loss but if it does not then have it. This has to be something you live with forever so do what you need to do to make it fit into your lifestyle! :-) Hope this helps!
  • Louise, you would probably be better off with 2% milk or even half n' half than with creamer. That way there is no sugar. You can make up for the fat by cutting fat out of something else that day but you can't fix the sugar, you know?
  • They make some stuff that is 1 gram of sugar or none at all. Its non fat. I used to do the milk thing but, I just like this more.
