Body For Life food question - protein

  • I understand that a portion of protein should be the size of your palm. Sorry if I sound silly, but is that your palm including the fingers and thumb or not? Thanks in advance.
  • I didn't use my fingers & thumb, just the flat, fleshy part of my hand. If you're not adverse to weighing your food, you can also figure out your portions sizes that way. Good luck.
  • I've often read that a 4 oz portion is usually the size of a deck of cards which is roughly the size of my palm, my palrm may be slightly bigger actually...But I like to weigh my protein when I am at home and eyeball it in restaurants...
