Hi all - I'm a big girl, working on getting smaller. I've signed up for a 5k on April 6th. I'm using the training program from Cool Running to get me from the couch to the road, and I'm preparing for the reality I won't be able to run the full 5K on that date, but I figure I can run 1 mile, walk 1 mile, run 1 mile.
Right now, I'm feeling the weight of my flesh come down on me while running and my thighs rub together. I need a good supportive bra and panties, or even a body suit of some kind to wear under sweats. I don't want to look like a sausage, but I need some better support. What should I be wearing?

Hi,
Go to a Lady Footlocker and get yourself a good exercise bra. Make sure it fits snug. I use to wear two when I jogged, for support. For the pants, a pair of spandex short, or capri pants under your sweats would help with any rubbing problem......
If you layer, like sports bra, t-shirt and sweat shirt you can peel off layers if weather permits....
Have fun!
Champion has very supportive sports bras (even for us large-breasted women) and compression shorts in a huge range of sizes. I started wearing them at size 24, and continue to this day at size 10/12. Essential for preventing painful bouncing and chafing. I highly recommend them.
