You're not going to like this, but no -- it's not. None of the juices. I have no idea why not, unless sugar is added in processing. I used to drink one of the little cans of reduced sodium V8 every day and counted it as a serving of vegetables.
I'd say go ahead and drink some though, and count it as one of your WPAs. It's very low in points.
Sorry, Kally. My Daily Food Companion says V8 is not core. However, 8 ounces is only 1 point, so it won't cost you much to keep drinking it. There are no other kinds of vegetable juice listed except for all the different varieties of V8.
Actually (and it really isn't 100% juice) Diet V8 Splash is a free drink but then it is artifically sweetened and not 100% juice.
The reasoning is you don't get a lot out of juices (fiber is minimal) and that new researsh has shown they are not as healthy as once thought. I read an article the other day about how juices have the same effect on the body as full sugar sodas.
