  • I'm SO MAD!!!!!!!
    Hey Everyone,

I'm fixing to just let it all out. I'm so mad that I don't know if I will ever get over it. so bare with me I will try to control myself but I'm going to tell you all what happened. Ok I go to weigh in's on Tuesday night's at 5:30 p.m. Ok there was this so called genius weigher. She is the Saturday morning leader. She said that one of the scales weighed lighter than the other. Well she told our leader to use the one that weighed heavier. Well she showed Janice (Our leader) Which ones weighed less and which ones weighed more. Well we was weighing on the ones we thought was heavier until tonight. I have been perfect on program and went in. And found out that the idiot that thought she knew which ones weighed more. Had made a mistake and told our leader the ones we were weighing on was the heavy ones when they was the light ones. I gained 0.2 this week but a woman weighed on the heavier ones and the light ones and there was a 6 pound difference. I am ferious! I have cried ever since I got home . So really I lost 6 pounds. I don't know whether to tell everyone I lost 6 or gained 0.2 I don't know what to put on the Valentine's day challenge. Please if anyone knows what would you do tell me. I'm a wreak I'm so up set! I will try to calm down but it will be hard!. I hope ya'll don't have as bad as a day as I have! Good luck at ya'll's weigh ins and hopefully you won't have an idiot like ours did. !!!!
  • Call Me Crazy
Jennh- hmmm I don't know what to say about your problem. Is there any way you could weigh again..maybe if you explained the situation?..sorry maybe one of the other ladies could help you better than I can.

Well..I did it. I was at the thrift store and saw the cutest shorts for only $2.00. I bought them. I know it is winter there isn't a need for shorts but here is the kicker..they are a size 10 call me crazy ... I've hung them up and they will be my "goal motivator"
This semester is really hard for me. I am in desperated need for an Algebra tutor..any takers

I hope you all are doing good?
    Type @ ya later
  • It's me again
    Hey Everyone,

I can't get re weighed again because that was the true scales so I will just write in the Valentine's day challenge I gained 0.2 It's not bad but I was pretty mad about it. Not pretty I was Really mad about it. But look at the bright side at least it wasn't 2 pounds!

ChristaLynn: Thats great you bought yourself a pair of shorts for a motivator I bought a pair of Peach colored panties that are size 9's I wear a size 12 right now but hopeing to be into them by my b-day (October 10) I think I can do that. I'm just going to work my rear end off this week and hope that I lose 6.6 to make my 25 pounds! See you all later!
  • Good Morning
    Hey Everyone,
It's a new day and I'm feeling a little better about just being up on those new scales but I know I lost this week. I will talk to you all later I just had to tell ChristaLynn that!

ChristaLynn:You avatar is very nice looking! He's the one that plays on Lost right? I don't care he is good looking!
  • Good Morning.

Jennh-I'm glad to see you're feeling better about the situation. If you think about it .2 isn't that big of a gain. You're gonna lose that this week and more. If you put your mind to it, you will make the V day challenge.

Have a good day. I'll check in later.
  • Hi everyone!

How are things 'round here? I'm playing catch up...again! Really, I've been so busy 'round the house and stuff I'm lucky to get out here! I need to come more often because I miss all the support! Grrr on house and work things! Grrr!

    Anyway,

Jen Let me ask you a couple of questions about your weigh in. Did you talk with your regular leader about this? If not, talk with her next week about it. Also, were you OP all week? Did you do everything right? Did you get in all of your water? Did you do all your journaling? Did you use your flexies in a mindful manner? Did you exercise, if not everyday then at least 3 times last week?

If you answer YES to all these questions then don't worry about what number shows up on the scale. If you continue being able to say YES to all the questions above, the scale will HAVE TO move in your favor. Remember, numbers are not always your friends. The scale can not show you losing inches right? And inches are just as important as weight right?

I have an article I want you to read. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ IT. It will do wonders for your scaleattude. Pay particular attention to the last 3 paragraphs.

    http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspart...ight/scale.htm

all that being said {huggles} to you and phooey on that idiot woman who was trying to take over your meeting. Your regular leader should have kicked her in the rear! Grrrr!

How is everyone else doing? Christina have you started knitting yet??? Is there a new question of the week? Did I miss it? Hmm? I promise to come back all day today and chat with anyone who wants to say hi!

    Hugs to all!

    Kae
  • Fun way to track your good things!
Hey all...I know I know...I just posted and y'all are sick of me already. Nah, I'm just teasing.

I was thinking of what Jen was saying about being mad at the scale and remembered that I haven't shared my favorite way of tracking all the good things I do for myself.

First you need a wall Calendar. Yep, run right out to Borders or your friendly neighborhood book store and pick up a cheapie one right now! Oh, and while you're out, you'll need to get a pack of those star stickers you used to use when you were in grade school...you know the ones. Make sure you get ones that are different colors. Red, Green, Blue, Silver and Gold.

    Okay, got your supplies? Good!

Now, assign a good thing to each of the colored stars. Mine are assigned as follows

Red = Exercise (because Exercise makes you hot and Red is a "hot" color!)

Green = Fruits n Veggies (well because most veggies are green right?)

    Blue
= Water (Water is cool. Blue is cool. *G*)

Silver = Journaling (because I didn't have a purple star. *sigh*)

Anyway, for everyday that you journal all day everything you eat, you get a silver star. Put it on your calendar. Now, look at your journal. Did you eat all your F&Vs? Yay! You get a green star! How 'bout your water? You did! Give the lady a blue star! Now for the hard part (for me!) did you exercise at least 20 minutes today? You did! Wahoo you get a red star! Put these all on your calendar. Do it everyday.

What? The gold star? Oh that's the best part!

If, when you look back at your happy stars you collected over the week and every day has every star you could earn for that day (ie: you have a red, blue, green and silver star for each n every day) then give yourself a gold star for that week.

Now, what to do with the gold stars as they accumulate??? well, how I do it is, if I get 4 gold stars in consecutive order, I get a small non food related treat. A new nail polish or perhaps a new book ('cause I'm always reading you know!) Just something small that I've been wanting. If there isn't anything then I let them increase in value...2 months of stars gets me a mani/pedi, 3 months of stars and I get a hardback book...whatever motivates you.

The best part is, when you look back over the calendar after a "not so nice scale day" and see just what wonderful things you've been doing for yourself you'll see that it all works out in the end. Bah on those silly numbers on that iron monster! Look at all the really good things you've been doing for your body!

Oh, and if you find other colored stars? Like purple and pink and stuff? First, pick up an extra pack and send it to me. LOL I'm kidding! But just add them to your daily stuff, like pink could be for a daily vitamin...'cause we all need that right? And Purple could be for getting in all your milks. (because if you add calcium to your diet it helps you lose weight right? Yep!)

There's all sorts of fun things you can do with this. I hope this helps all of you on your weight loss journey! Remember, (in the words of Red Green) I'm pulling for ya!

    Love n hugs

    Kae
  • Hey Again
    Hey Everyone (Again)

Wildstrawberry:It was our regular leader but she said the woman that runs the sat. morning classes had body building weights and weighed the weights on both scales the ones she said was the lighter ones and not to use was really the heavier ones and we had been weighing on the ones she had told Janice to let us weigh on (The supposedly heavy ones) They were 6 pound light and I would have lost 6 pounds. But to answers your questions I said yes to them all. I drank over my water and milk each day ate over my amount of F&V. and exercised at least 30 minutes every day and only had 5 flex points all week . the only reason why the scale showed a gain was because we were weighing on the new ones which was 6 pounds difference. Everyone gained which showed it was the scales. People that started last week gained that was the worst thing. But next week we will be weighing on the same scales that we did this week so what ever I lose this week will be my right amount no scale mess ups. Thanks Goodness! I hope that don't happen again! But thanks for the site it's great and very helpful.I will try the calender idea I will try to get some stars before long I already have a calender. thanks for all the help. Another thing I only weigh once a week at WW on Tuesday evenings I think even though I'm over weigh I look dang good LOL! See you all later!
  • Hey Chickadees

I would be so upset if I gained my first week. I would have probably quit

Kae-I may try your idea of the calendar and colored star stickers. I still haven't been able to start knitting. Algebra is really kicking my butt so I don't have very much spare time for hobbies right now...but I still want to learn.

I am working up the nerve to ask the guy from work out for coffee I just found out that his grandma died today and I bought him a sympathy card. I don't want him to think I'm taking advantage of the situation. It is obvious that I don't have any luck with the fellas and I don't want to scare him away. I've been tod that his is very depressed and lonely so I'm not sure if I should even say anything help!

Okay, I have the question of the week.
    I'll post it by itself
  • Question Of The Week
My question doesn't deal with weight loss but I thought it would be a way for us to get to know each other. I kept it simple.

    Here it is...
If you could cast anyone as batman and robin who would it be?
    My choice is...
John Cusak as batman and Elija Wood as robin.

This question was actually on my theatre final
  • Batman and Robin?
Hi all! Sorry I have been missing, however my reason may surprise you. Monday and Tuesday nights after work I went to the fitness center in my work and got on the treadmill! We did tonight too but tried a differnt program and didn't like it much. Monday and Tuesday we tried the Cardio work out and it was great! Ok, Monday was tough but Tuesday was much better! Monday was only 20 minutes and Tuesday was 30. I felt great! Today I had shin splints but it is alright. Just did 15 minutes to keep them warmed up and tomorrow we will do weights. Friday I will take the WW dvd and try that.
I will go to weigh in Friday.
Kae: you come up with some of the best ideas! I think I will have to try that calender one! Thanks!
Christine: I liked Micheal Keaton as Batman.....or maybe Justin Baitman...as for Robin...how about the kid that played in The Sixth Sense? I don't remember his name. I love movies...but am bad with actors/actresses.
    Gonna go. Talk tomorrow. night!
  • Hey guys! Remember me????
Hello everyone! I hope I am still welcome. I am so sorry I havent posted in so long! It has been a rough two weeks for me but now things are looking brighter. My Dad had open heart surgery and my Mom had surgery a few days later~ needless to say I have been spending night and day at the hospital. Good news is they are both home now and getting along well. As for me I did not track my points while at the hospital but I did not stuff myself on junk and I did alot of walking. I am still doing great with my water drinking and still making healthy food choices so I think I have done ok the past few weeks. I do plan on really sticking to the program again though. I dont trust just "thinking" I am doing good~I want to know for sure. I am going to try to take the time and read some old threads to catch up but for now I am off to make lunch. I hope all is going well for everyone and I have really missed all of you!
  • Don't I know You
Cyn Welcome back Its good to hear that your parents are doing better. It's been a little quiet around here lately. I'm hoping it gets active again like it was.
I'm not sure how I did today. I know I've had all my water + more but I don't know exactly how many points I've had. I was at school early and forgot breakfast and lunch so I ate there. I had a chicken sandwich that was 9 points and milk was 2 points but I don't know about the hashbrowns or the 2 sausage links I really hate to estimate. I've eaten light for the rest of the night just to be on the safe side. My allowance willl kick in and cover some of that...AND to top that I lost my pedometer at school so I can't keep track.
  • Opps!!!!
    Hey Everyone,

First of all: Batman: Johnny Depp. and Robin: Tom Cruise LOL.

How are you all doing? I just got back from being gone since 11 am today and I've ate out twice today and I've had 53 points 20 extra than I'm allowed Oh Well tomorrow is another day. I will get it pulled off ok! Plus I'm starting to get a cold. All I need lol. I got a calender today and some star stickers I'm going to start tracking them down as of today or tomorrow. I have a question though. Is it ok to buy something if I eat some of my flex points? I thought I would ask before I went out and rewarded myself for tracking and eating all the right stuff and drinking water and milk? I gotta go take some medicine. I will see you all later.
