Hi all, I am new to the core program. Day 7 today! so far so good.
I have found at our health food store 100% brown rice pasta and 100% brown rice flour. Would these items be considered core?
Please let me know,
Shelley
No flours (100% brown rice, whole wheat, etc) are core at all. I do know that.
Not sure about the brown rice pasta...this is somethign new to me.
The brown ricw pasta question is a good one. I really don't know.
I know most people would count the points on anything not on the CORE food list.
When I want mac n cheese, I cannot find whole wheat elbow macaroni. So I by ground corn pasta. It has more fiber than the whole wheat pasta and tastes pretty good.
I just checked with the online database and it isn't listed so I would say call W/W and see what they say about it but my suspicions are that it isn't a Core food.

I've seen the brown rice pasta at our store as well and also wondered if it were Core. My *guess* would be that it could go in the category with ww pasta, where you can have it once a day. That's only a guess based on the fact that it's made from brown rice, which is also in that category.
Kelly, is the online database a subscription only thing, or is it available to everyone?
Ok - it looks like I have stumped WW!! I called to ask about the rice pasta and they have no idea - they are getting back to me so I will let you know what they say as soon as I hear back!
thanks all for your help!
Shelley
It is for Online or E-tools paying members.

Thanks, Kelly. Since I bought the Food Companion in print I probably won't sign up for the online version.
Shelley - let us know what they say!
I just got a call from Gladdis at WW Canada. They have sent my question to WW International and I am still waiting to hear back.
I'll let you know as soon as I hear back!
no go with the 100% brown rice pasta
Hi all,
I had a vm from Gladys this morning. The brown rice pasta is not a core food. Drats!!
Sorry to hear that but thanks for the info.
