Can't do it alone

  • I'm 37 and I live in Houston. I have over 80 pounds to lose, and am really in need of a buddy to give me support. I've tried every fad out there, and I'm sure some of them would work if I stuck to them.

Anyway, I want to do it the right way this time. Eating sensibly, and working out. I know that trying to do it fast isn't going to work.

Anyone willing to help me out?
  • Hi Catgirl! Which diet plans do you think you'd have the best chance at sticking with? That might help you round up a buddy a little easier.

Good for you for not trying to rush it. It sounds like you are ready this time.

BTW - How far is Houston from Austin? There is a thread just a few down from here from newbies in Austin looking to lose in the 50's and 60's.
  • Hi there!
Hello! I am 35 and have made the committment to lose weight! I have been working on it for a little while and have lost around 29 pounds! I have reached under 200 for the first time in about 9 years!

I would love to have a buddy to support and encourage - and someone to help me along the way! Please PM me if you are interested!

Best of luck! You can do it!
  • I'm north of Houston, but much younger. It might seem weird?
  • Hi!

I have 80+ pounds to lose too. I also need help too, by doing it the same way as you - by eating right and exercising. I feel if I follow any one fad diet the fat eventually will all come back if I ever go off it. I like combining aspects I agree w/from different diets, that are right for me and just making it work for myself...personalizing a diet and turning it into a lifestyle is very important, IMO, for lasting results.

The more support, the better. Feel free to PM me if ya wanna chat or be email buddies.
