I need help!!

  • Hi!! My name is Rachel, I'm 27 years old and very much overweight. I have always been overweight but now it is really starting to make me realize the health problems that could be associated with it. I not only want to lose a bunch of weight but I want to be healthy! I would love to hear from someone who is in the same boat!! I am open to any ideas anyone has!! LOL
  • Well congratulations cause you've taken the first step. Realizing you need to lose and wanting to lose. You'll need to keep that thought in mind for awhile yet while you lose. It will be a slow process, so don't let it discourage you. I'd suggest starting with small steps and working up. You should exercise regularly, but start out with something small that you can handle, like walk a mile each day. Add miles and increase your speed as time goes on. Do simple things like parking far away from places you're going and get in the extra walking. Opt for stairs over elevators and escalators. Clean out your fridge and replace stuff with fresh fruits and lots of vegetables. Don't starve yourself, that makes you more discouraged. Just eat better stuff. You just have to keep reminding yourself of today to stay in that same mindset of wanting to lose. It can be done.
  • Hello Sweetpea - there's not much I can add to AlmostHeaven's tremendous list of weight loss ideas not to mention her fabulous accomplishment losing 94lbs - awesome! I do want to wish you luck and support. These threads can really help. I recommend reading lots of them and joining the ones that seem to fit your needs. You can do it!
