Core desser question

  • I was wondering what everyone thought about desserts made with all Core ingredients. I don't mean the apple crisp type, because those are mostly fruit and still pretty healthy. But I've seen recipes on other sites for Core brownies and chocolate oatmeal cake. Yes, they're Core, but my gosh...I could have a field day with those So my feeling is that those recipes should be counted as points.

    Any thoughts?

  • Hi Christine,

I agree. I would count just about any dessert other than fresh fruit with points. I don't want to get into the trap that I've fallen into before. For example, since the Snackwells are fat free, I can eat the whole box and not gain weight, LOL I think to each his/her own though. If some can eat these things without counting and without feeling triggered to eat the whole batch and still lose weight - more power to 'em!

    Take Care,

  • I think WW is already responding to that with it's revised core lists that it just sent out.

I think the thing is, WW wants us not to fall into eating lots of binge foods...

    Cheers!

  • These people will become the whiners "The program doesn't work for me" because all they are doing is perpetuating their cravings and eating foods that cause the majority of people to binge. If you have to have this stuff every day, you have a real problem with food.
  • They want to have their cake and eat it too.
  • Ok, I'm glad to see it's not just me.

    Thanks everyone!

  • W/W (from the meeting I attended this morning) is stating if it doesn't look like the Core Foods it started with it is not a Core Food and you should count those points.
