Hi anyone...I'm hoping to find a buddy out there. I've lurked around a bit but haven't actively participated in a long time. I'm 55 yrs old, and I would like to lose at least 55 lbs. The problem is I just love food! I listen to all these diet promoters and they inevitably say "you won't feel hungry, etc." Well, I don't know about any of you, but I don't eat just cause I'm hungry. In fact, most of the time I'm not really hungry, I just eat cause it looks good, it tastes good, it's there staring me in the face, it's offered to me, it's chocolate, it's sweet, it's salty.....it's just there! And I love to eat! Period! When someone tells me they've lost their appetite, it just does not compute! I don't think I've ever lost my appetite. And of course I'm not one to follow any excercise regimen. But my knees are hurting, my back is aching, high blood pressure, wearing out my fat clothes and can't afford new fatter clothes at the moment, ....just feeling tired and disgusted nowadays. I've lost weight in the past but I can't seem to stick with it now. I start the day with great intentions but lose it before lunchtime! Sure could use a buddy to work with....or just to comiserate with.

yes I want to loose wight for my high cholestrol, and bad knee you know I work in a hospital and have many pts who are over weight and all the medical problems that they are having you think it would care meNOOOOOOOOOOOO I do try and walk for exercise on my days off but can go only short distances as have a bad knee (need a total)so really have to watch especially if I have to work as I am on my feet 8 or 12 hrs (am a nursing assistant) usually at the end thankful that I can get in my carbut if off a couple of days in a row then do walk if only a few blocks do ride my bike a couple of times a week but nothing consistant so what is wrong with this picture? no motivation
I know I need a good kick in the pants!!!!!!!!!what kind of exercise our you doing? feel free to brouse on the senior buddysPosts it may help you we would love to have you join nd hopeing it would give you some ideas and learn how to stick with it which I try so hard but back slide and the ladies are our age!!!!!!! well hope you have a great Friday I have a couple of days off so am going to do something with the exercise hopeing you have a great weekend and we both have postive things to talk about Rita
