Mscat: Sounds like you're doing great! Keep it up!
Brenda: Way to go! One day OP! Me, too! We can do this.
Jane: I'm a bad worrier, so I know how you're feeling. I hope it passes soon -- that's a miserable feeling.
Shimma: Way to get those walks in! I admire you for getting up early and doing it. That's something I definitely can't do! I feel sick and feel like I'm sleep walking if I exercise before 11 a.m.
TG: I love it when I'm busy at work because the day goes fast, and I don't have time to think about food. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen for me very often. You're doing great -- you're really on a roll!
Well, I can't tell you how fabulous I feel! It's amazing how one OP day can make you feel. Yesterday was a great day in terms of eating and exercise. I just felt in control -- I even passed up chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant! Now, I've just got to make this a constant feeling.
My in-laws used to get on my case about doing Atkins. They swore it was unhealthy. Well, after they've seen me lose 40 pounds and see what I eat (not all meat, cheese and eggs), they've decided to try it out! I couldn't believe it. They don't really need to lose weight, they just want to eat healthy, and they chose low-carb. Woo-hoo!
DH and I are tentatively talking about a trip to Puerto Rico in November. Since he works for an airline, vacations are extremely affordable with free flights and reduced hotel rooms, which is really nice. I hope it works out. Talk about some motivation to lose weight. Just what I need!
I got some other motivation last night by shopping. I didn't buy anything, I just needed to get out of the house so I didn't eat anything. But, I did try some things on, and it made me realize I still definitely need to lose weight. Things that I thought would look good on me now, really didn't, but they will 30 pounds lighter. I'd just love to go into a store knowing that I could pick anything off the rack, and it would look decent. I still got a a ways to go for that to happen! But, it gave me the kick I needed.
Well, I hope everyone has a great day!
Take care,
Jina
