Week 5 of August 1 challenge!

    We are now on week 5 of our challenge...

    How did everyone do last week?

    What did you do or change to help yourself with your plan?

    Did anyone manage to kick an old habit or start a new healthy one?
  • Good morning y'all!

    I'm back from my vacation and ready to make up for the many liberties I took last week, from ice cream to chocolate to fudge, goodness was I bad! First thing I did when I got back Saturday morning was hit the gym to workout, oh boy did I need it!

    This week I will make up for last week by getting in all of my water, going to the gym EVERY day, and trying to add in a few extra activities for myself... I am hoping that part of the 2# gain I saw on Saturday morning was from TOM, but either way it must be gone!

    How is every one elsedoing so far?
  • Darn! Went up a little over the weekend but back to it tomorrow!
  • Gained four pounds at the cottage, but lost two of it yesterday.
  • Things are looking better... This morning I saw the same thing on my home scale that I saw the Friday before I went on vacation and weighed-in at 188# on the gym scales.... Wooohooo! Bye-bye bloat!
  • Back on track! Had two really good eating days since my horrible weekend and stepped on the scale this morning and showed a 1lb loss!

    Must...stick...to...plan...
  • Way to go Mauv! on the 1# gone! That is one pond closer to goal, right?
  • Okay, been very depressed lately. My blood pressure is up. I have now too many restricted foods. I have to avoid high-oxalates (kidney stones), high sodium (blood pressure), high fat (gall stones) and then trying to eat healthy to loose weight and get pregnant. Gosh, can I be 20 again and undo all these bad habits I have accumlated over the last 15 years?
  • Flower - I wish I could give you that power to go back in time! You sound like you are having a tough time! The only thing is going back could change all the good parts of your life now so they never happen and just don't exist... It's kind of a Catch 22, ya know? Hang in there and we will help you through it!

  • Any time Flower! I just looked at your signature and you should be proud of yourself... You have lost 12# in less than a month! That is terrific!

    You should join us in "The Race to 199" in the Buddy Up forum since you are looking to reach that goal too. The ladies in there are great as well... I still stick around even though I've surpassed that goal
  • well i am down to 180. my jeans are fitting looser, ( even with TOM this week!) i have been doing pretty good on the eating. Realized the other day that i have actually managed to stop "sneak eating" . The only thing i am not happy with is that i am not getting any exercise in. but short of getting up at 4 am ( and i am not doing that, no way!) it is just not realistic for me until we stop the overtime at work. 5 more pounds to go til mini goal!!

    I'll be posting my loses after my weigh-in/measure tomorrow morning.... I saw 185.5# on the gym scale this morning, but I'm going to try to contain my excitement until tomorrow's # because it could be a fluke, ya know? Here's hoping it's not!

    * Keep in mind the measure is a single thigh/arm and the loss is the total for both

    I am sooo excited! I have met my August 1st goal about 2 weeks ahead of schedule! Nantucket here I come! Woohoo!
