I was possessed by an eating machine over the weekend. I was taken over and all of my determination washed away. All I could do was watch as if from afar as the snacking monster crushed my best attempts to stay OP. Now I must fast for two days before WI in order to try and repair some of the damage inflicted. (Humph, that’s not working either – I’m sitting here eating animal crackers and I don'’t know how many I’ve had!)
Nestle was in the backyard with hubby last night. Hubby was hitting a plastic roller hockey puck into our net, and Nestle all of a sudden came off the porch right in front of it

He wasn’t going for the puck (he must have seen something else), but he barely saw it and slightly turned his head. I was freaked out! We rushed him to the emergency vet and had him checked out. Luckily it’s basically a doggie black eye and a slight scratch on his pupil. We have to put goop in his eye and take him in again on Friday. I was a mess, I was so scared. I’m in big trouble when I have kids!
OH, and I was up until 1am.

The coffee and Diet Dr. Pepper has already worn off (Trish help!) So, I think you know how my weekend went. What about you?
Jen: Congrats on the loss and I agree that woman has to go. I would take her aside after a mtg sometime and tell her as nicely as you can how awful she is. It’s hard enough to go sometimes without being afraid some witch is going to bite your head off!
Kay: I have a friend like that as well. I’ve had to learn to really pay attention to her tone of voice/mood. That usually helps to tell me when she might be in a tiff and I’ll ask her what’s up. Sometimes she says nothing but you can tell there really is an issue. It’s frustrating to fish for why someone is upset, but if you want to get to the bottom of it maybe ask: ‘I’m getting the feeling you are upset with me about something, can we talk?’ and see what happens. My friend is really sensitive too and I still struggle with talking to her and not hurting her feelings b/c of it! Good luck.
Sarah: I’m right there with you on an awful weekend. I haven’t even counted all of mine yet. I think I’m avoiding it b/c I’m scared to see really how bad I was. It will be interesting to see what those of us who have read BJ think of it the movie. I’ve heard they cut out a lot of what was in the book (they always do) but it’s key parts to the whole chaotic life thing. I’m just going to see it with no expectations and watch it for what it is. Entertainment!!!
Kim: DH and I went to Texas Raodhouse Friday night and I had prime rib. Need I say more? *sigh*
Sorry I didn’t reply to everyone. Do need to get some work done now!
