Self Introduction

  • Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to say what a great forum this is and great members as well.

My name is Mel and I a 24 year old single mom from Texas. I am 5'3 and weighed in at 150lbs about a month ago (i haven't weighed myself since then)

During my pregnancy I weighed in at 200lbs at my heaviest. I have lost all but 15-20lbs, which seem to be the most stubborn to lose. I have completely changed my diet and started 3 days of cardio and 3 days of free weights.

Glad there is such a wonderful forum as this to support people.

    Thanks for listening.

    Mel
  • Hi MissMel!
I have recently joined again after being gone. I post in the 'low carb' threads (cuz sugar IS evil!) and also in the 'ladies who lift/bodybuilding' threads since I am an avid weight trainer.
I am the mother of 2 small kids and only have a few more pounds to lose. It is more difficult than ever because while I am not as happy as I could be I am also not really that fat either...
I just want to be nice and trim and be able to show off the muscles I have worked so hard for
For me, this can be accomplished by backing off the carbs a bit, but to each her own.
Welcome! This is an awesome place to find support.
    XOXO

  • Welcome to 3FC, Mel! I hope you find a lot of support here. This is the happiest bunch of 'losers' I've ever met, so I think you will like it here!
  • Thanks ladies for the positive comments.

Luv2lift - i am interested in bodybuilding as well and would be glad to get some pointers from you.

Jennifer - congrats on losing 50lbs. That is wonderful.....good for you!!
  • Hello, I have been looking at this site for quite some time now and finally decided to join in the fun. I love the online cookbook and have tried several of the recipies and found them great.

Looking to lose about 25-30 pounds and am trying real hard to do that. I am walking and stair climbing at work (I work on the 14th floor and walk up at least once a day.)
