menus for Feb 1-Feb 8

  • Well have not even eaten yet but starting a fresh post for the week. Be back to edit later.

    Sunday

    b: sf latte
    s: cheesy onion eggs, bacon, 1 slice lc toast with smart spread and 1 lc yogurt
    l: spaghetti made with whole wheat pasta and low carb sauce (to much sauce though, now I feel sick )
    s: 2 fudgesicles
    d:crockpot chili

    Here's my menu. Non-stop eating today.

    Feb 1
    B: egg beats w/soy cheese & 2 veggie sausages; coffee
    L: veggie chili w/lf cheese and sour cream
    S: 1 C oatmeal w/5 almonds and cinnamon
    S: 1 lite yogurt w/no fat cott cheese
    D: pork tenderloin w/asparagus
  • Phase 2....Sunday

    Breakfast...2 slices turkey bacon
    Lunch.....Leftover Hamburger Minestrone soup
    Dinner...Pot Roast in crockpot, with fresh greenbeans
    liz's cauliflower
    Snack...pecans and dried apricots
    Snack...maybe a popsicle...nope, not a popsicle...I had fresh strawberries with Splenda

    Edited to add....I stayed up late and ate a ton of pecans!!!
  • Monday....Phase 2

    Breakfast.....2 slices turkey bacon
    Lunch..........leftover hamburger minestrone soup
    Dinner..........leftover pot roast, green beans and cauliflower
    Snack......I passed by my sons Entenmanns donut holes and ate 1!!!
    Snack.......sticking with a popsicle..and NO PECANS!

    Hey everyone,

    I like the idea of posting menus, gives me some ideas of different things to eat...I read them but have never posted, so I thought I'd start today...

    Today (Phase I, Week II):

    B: String cheese and diet coke
    L: Leftover stew (I made the greatest stew, lots of meat, mushrooms, tomato, green beans and onion just cooked together. I am really enjoying it!!!)
    D: Cooked chicken breast, chickpea salad (with lemon juice and oil), 1/2 broiled tomato, and a small salad with light dressing.
    S: SF jello

    I feel like it was a good food day all in all. The best thing about eating low carbs is it has made me think of all the different sorts of things to have as side dishes. It's really interesting.

    Keep posting those menus... I really enjoy reading them!!!

    Breakfast- 1 egg

    snack- thin sliced smoked turkey 2 slices
    4 cashews

    lunch- small salad and 2 oz lean beef patty with 1/2 slice 2% lf cheese

    snack- 11 cashews

    supper- fill in later...at the MILs

    Phase 1/Day 2

    B - 1 quiche cup, 1 slice Canadian bacon, 1 cup skim milk

    S - 1 mozzerella cheese stick

    L - Greek Salad with lettuce, red pepper, cucumber, chick peas
    Feta cheese and balsamic dressing

    S - 2 slices of ham rolled with just a bit of mayo and
    no sugar grainy dijon mustard

    D - Chicken Cordon Blu with wilted baby spinich
