Day 5 - The Great Tiki Clean Eats Challenge

  • Well ladies, we are into the 5th day. We are winding down but what's that up there in the distance? OMIGOSH! It's a SuperBowl Party full of fried chicken wings, nachos with cheese, chips, sodas, veggie crudites with tons of ranch dressing, etc.

    My advice? Start to focus NOW on how to avoid getting sucked into all that stuff. Pack your own snacks, drink plenty of water, find a mantra that helps you to stay focused and repeat it whenever you get tempted to head to the food table. We can do this! Yes, We can do the entire 7 days.

  • Just finished off my free meal and I'm not going to tell you what it was (to save anyone from the power of suggestion.) It never tastes as good as I anticipate, and I'm sitting here stuffed thinking why did I do that? I would have been just as satisfied, and not so bloated if I had eaten a decent meal. I could have easily waited til tomorrow, and go out for a salad lunch with DH. Still may do that.

    I might be ready to pass up the free meal ticket soon, and replace it with maybe a larger portion of something clean and legal. That will be my goal for next week.

    Ok, I blew it yesterday, but aside from feeling like a whale, today was poifect!
    Great workout, cardio and eats.

  • Friday eats were perfect here too... even if I did go out with the girls... We had a fabulous time ... We may in April 2006 visit a girl who lives in near LA for her 50th... so that would be wayyyy kewl....
