If you lose one pound a week for a year, that's fifty two pounds - Judy is right, they add up. Sounds like you did very well at the shower...southern cooking can take its toll!
Carla - I'm thrilled to hear you say that exercise is becoming a habit! That's the best news of the week!

I'm still really not feeling terrific. I think I'm quite run down from my sinus infection, and on Sunday I spent the day in bed with apparent food poisoning. We went to a birthday party on Saturday and something I ate wreaked havoc with me for 24 hours. I was still feeling generally lousy yesterday. So I think I'll write off the month of January as Judy and Carla wisely recommended and look to February for the start of exercise in a constructive way. I've been walking the dogs at a snail's pace, and while it's movement, it hardly counts.
