How are you all>

The sun is shining, but it is cold. No, not as cold as the north, but for us it's cold.

We have 14 registered to go to SRD. Ours is early this year, the last week in April. We always have a good group that go. We have a very active chapter. Most of our members attend all the ARD's and about 1/2 go to SRD. We have some new members going this year. They are very excited, which makes it nice for the rest of us. We have several who may be winners in several catagories. Haven't heard from Area Coordinator yet, but one lost over 100#'s, and another lost 75#'s. Several have lost over 50#'s. Almost half of our membership last year have reached KOPS status. We have picked up several new members since the 1st of the year because of positive publicity.

We are looking for some easy fund raisers. We always have a garage sale, and we catered a wedding reception last May. But with so many going, we would like to help more with the expenses. We have sold chances on a quilt in the past, but always start in the fall and draw in Dec. We didn't do that this year. We are very fortunate to have a lady who donates a quilt, and they are always beautiful! But this year we didn't do it, can't remember why!
Anyone have any ideas?

Well, the snow is almost done falling and we have over a foot on the ground now from this one. It started overnight and continued all day. It isn't very cold though which is nice for a change. Just below 0C here. Not much new otherwise. I was home all day watching the snow fall. I have to go back to work tomorrow again. Amazing how fast 4 days off can go but those same 4 days at work go so slow!!!

Our meeting tonight was cancelled due to the snow. I was getting excused anyway. I live outside the city and I won't drive in if the roads are really bad. Our belated xmas party is next Monday. It was cancelled in December due to another storm just like this one. Apparently the storms really like Mondays!

Our SRD up here is called ARD - area recognition days. It is in Saint John, NB this year. I will be going. It is the last weekend in April-May1. I haven't been to one up here yet. I was to one in NS but not here. I am looking forward to it.
