Geepers, Ruthie, I slept in until 7:00!!

I'm rushing... I'm going out with a friend today. We're making biscotti together for Christmas, and are doing the shopping for the ingredients today.
She's a perfectly groomed lady, and I'm sitting here with my torn jeans, chipped toe nail polish, messy hair, and unwashed face. NOT a pretty picture. Got to run... back later...

I have made biscotti and enjoy making it.

Mom wore slippers out yesterday. She is SO darn cute.

She told me that she feels as if her age has finally caught up to her.

One good thing has come of this pain...she has cut down on her cig's and is eating better.

When we came home, she gave me a hug and said thank you for making me go.

I told her I missed having my mom, my friend, and my buddy with me.

Going to have my DH upgrade my word pad this weekend.

Have a nice day and give thought to those that are struggling or sad.

Hi Chickies.....Boy is it WINDY here today, 60 mile an hour winds. Not much going on, some old same old....busy day at work... to you all!!

Hey! I finally made it in. My phone line for my connection croaked yesterday and just got fixed a few minutes ago! Thanks God for talented neighbour Möel who was a Bell technician in a previous incarnation.

Well.....I think I have the part in The Vagina Monologues! No official announcements were made last night but, when I put my email addy on my sheet, I noticed a big circled "The Flood" which is the role I read. Everyone else had to read another role but I think I'm in! Liz and Joanne and I went out to a pub in Brockville afterwards despoite a raging storm and I had a Kilkenny! I'm trying hard not to get excited but ......

Another false alarm on Lifeline at 2 last night. I think H must press it when he goes to pee! I had been asleep for only a half hour so was not pleased! Anyhow, we have decided he does not need to wear it at night when I am here.

So...time to get the days started as I've been messing around since 7. Yes, I really slept until 7! I guess the Girls were tired as they waited up for me until 1!

Hi everyone:
Ruth: How exciting to feel sure that you did well on the audition and got the part. I am assuming that this is a Community Theater production. Is it done in Brockville? Is this a Comedy or Drama. I'm not familiar with the play at all. Been out of touch with that stuff since we moved to Fl.

Same old stuff for me today, but at least I am having a bit more time to myself. I look around the house and see all sorts of things that need doing, and here I am doing what I really want to do. Saying hello to everyone here. :

Whimsey: Nice to see you back. You will be so amazed when all the swelling and Black and Blue is gone. Have you got some of those big sunglasses, that people wear when they have cataract surgery? I got some of those, and then I could go out, and be 'incognito' and not get questions about who hit me My dd thought I had lost a lot of weight, when she saw me the first time after the surgery, and I was all healed and looked great. You'll be amazed at the improvement in you vision too. Can't say enough positives about the whole procedure. I will say the worst part for me was dealing with the healing itch that takes place. And of course you can't do much about it. My Dr. said use cold and just pat the lids. Don't know what yours will say. I also got some anti-itch cream from him too.

Littlechick...I had a brow lift and my excess eyelids nipped...I call it my nip/tuck surgery!!

I am very sleepy today...Like I didn't get enough sleep...Oh well....I am less than a week from having surgery so I am not going to fight it..nap time for me...laters
