The dog had a big mess this AM and she had to have another bath. But her spirits are up and she is eating well.......

Was gonna get going on Christmas stuff (organizing my gifts that have to be mailed this year) but didn't get around to it.

..don't tell me there is more old to come! Well, you all make it sound not so bad... Did I just call you all old?

I'm gonna go walk the Tm after I eat since DH works late tonight. Eating my WW soup to get back on track and hoping it will help me feel better pain wise. This darn cold is the culprit along with to much sugar! I want to bake so bad..it warms me up and makes me feel really good all over, my creative side comes out and then I have to try everything! I'm fighting with myself to bake or not..so just posting my thoughts!

Cold and raining ... so I'm achy plus I STILL have this stupid cold I hate the weather change ... hate the time change ... gets dark too early now! ... hate the Halloween candy ... bought some for students and I ate 6 mini bars this afternoon and tonight! NOT GOOD!!! I have my yearly physical on Thursday and then I'll have to have a mammogram ... hate those things ... hate the Dr., too! (not much I like today!)

Hey Meme-this is the place tp complain-I am up at 4:20 every day which will be good for tomorrow when I have to get up at 4 to "clean out " for the second time. I had to hide my candy from myself-Ok-we started painting yesterday and the color is so wrong-bright aqua instead of teal-we may be at Home Depot at 8 today. 60 $ worth of paint!!!!!Not totally sure what to do-could go with a very light color now. We'll see. But the carpenter guy is marvelous-he fixed up so many places before he painted. Bye for now Mima

Hi all - I've been wrestling with lots of stuff and hiding out. Not losing but not gaining either - always a plus for me. Have tried to really cut calories this week to see if it helps. If not, I've at least been eating healthy. Nice here (cool though) but more rain on way tonight. Still waiting for my usual October "feel good" time but it's hiding too.

Going to a wedding near Phila this weekend so trying to get it all together to make it fun and not a drag. Found a deep teal pants outfit I'm feeling good about. Working on going through all the clothes and all the odd sizes I'm still wearing. May get a bit of time today to go to a store. Still trying to catch up on my "looking". Looks like weather just might be really nice for the bride and groom.

DH going to dr without me today Also not going to a funeral I could/should/might have. Two long time acquaintances died this week. Sending card/note but that's it. In first case, surviving child hasn't a clue who I am, in second, the kids would know who we are but I don't think I'd have much more to offer so thought a note would work just as well. Seem to be decompressing a bit and going to use the time toward that.

Can't believe it's so soon November and the "busy" season (like there are any that don't seem to be busy anymore.

Don't say the word teal=I actually love that color but that's what it turned out to be that Home Depot used that color instead of the one we picked out. no wonder it was aqua-full refunf but now we have to go back and get more opaint because we only bought a quart this time-gray morning which has a touch of blue-green-I am now into subtle-also had to pick out different rug. and more expensive.I will show you a picture when it;s done. Anagram, between funerals and parties, you sure are busy. I learned that a card and prayers will do for some funerals. Hope you have a good time this weekend. And you will look great in teal. I could not post yesterday, it knocked me out of AOL.
Got results of my fasting blood work today. Hard to describe but when they told me my white blood cell count is low I wanted to jump up and say "YES...see I told you I feel like crap". So, I have to have it done again and if it stays down I have to go in for more testing and they might consider an antibiotic. Maybe I have an infection that I can't fight. I just read a theory about that and they are using huge amounts of the antibiotic that they use for anthrax. I am willing to try.
This is my second day of healthy eating. Boy am I hungry!!!
Anagram...bet you look good in Teal!! Poor Mima...aqua is just not the same thing.

Mima- I sure am glad that it was home depots fault.
Your prep sure sounds different than mine . I had to drink a gallon of the nasty stuff.

Anagram- That's the way it goes as we get older. I am like you ,I don't go to funerals. I send a card. I think we need to do more of the things that make us happy and give us joy.

Snow, we have SNOW!! Lot's of SNOW. Started yesterday and is supposed to continue today. I looks so soft and pretty. The only problem I see with snow, is it also falls on the roads. Last night it all turned into one huge skating rink. Today it won't get above freezing (24F) so I hope they have been out sanding.

Mima - I love both aqua and teal, but they sure are different colours! Glad you found what you like.

Ally - I hope they do find whatever is making you feel so terrible. I have been on antibiotics for a week now, and my ear and sinus infection seems to have started to clear up.

Joanne - I am liking the SBD. It is nothing like Atkins, although when you first read it, it sounded a LOT like Atkins. I think because you don't have the saturated fats, you feel more antsy - just kind of a little craving in the background sort of speak.

Meme - Hope you're feeling better. Cute picture. These little babes grow up so fast.

Candice - Like you Candice, I want to get into baking, so badly. I love it, and I find it very relaxing. Of course, the problem is, if I do it, I will eat it!! I did bake a couple of Fruit cakes for Christmas. Sometimes I bake, and just give it away.

Anagram - Teal is such a pretty color. Looks good on almost anybody. I go to funerals of people who where close to me and send cards to those not so close. Have a nice time at the wedding this weekend.

I guess for you ladies, the busy season will start soon. With Thanksgiving and Christmas so close it would be hard. Both big occasions, with lots of food. Lots of celebrating. I am really glad we have Thankgiving in October. December is busy enough, with extra parties and shopping. One counteracts the other

Well, the good news is that I didn't have any polyps and I don't need to have another colonoscopy for 10 years. The bad news is that my diverticulosis is really bad-which I woke up from the anasthesia when they found it. Fiber!!!And my body didn't want to shut down from the prep-had to get Depends-more than you wanted to know!!!No more of this-Wow about the snow-we had some but it is gone and it's going to be in the 70's Sunday which is great for the surprise party. Hallway is coming along-Ally-if your blood is low, you will not feel good!!How about thyroid. Stress does bad things to us. Hope yor wedding is fun, Anagram. It sure can take your mind off things. I thought there was going to be a wedding in the future here, daughter met a really nice guy who seems to be phobic about relationships. But then she trusts easily. I baked a lot of stuff for Brad's party and I put it in the freezer. Hope it came out ok-but I didn't get tempted. But then there is Sunday. HOw's the weight loss Joanne. I was down 3 lbs yesterday but I think it's back already and I haven't really eaten. Hope to walk today. Mima

I go to TOPS tonight. I hope I have a small loss. My scale was down a bit this AM but that doesn't mean much at the end of the day

Hello everybody. Can't sit here long. Busy day...Joanne

Well...had my physical today. Nothing new ... he wrote my prescriptions for a year, made me an app. with a heart specialist, made another app. with an orthopaedic surgeon about my ankle and still another for a mammogram...gonna be busy! He wrote me a prescription for zithromax to clear my cold up ... hope it works! When I asked him about my ankle he said, "well, you've seen 3 other doctors and 2 of them specialized in ankles ... I can't compete with that, and they all 3 told you it was arthritis and there wasn't much that could be done about it. But, if it was me, and my ankle hurt so bad I couldn't sleep at night, I think I'd be hunting me another doctor!" He said the Orthopaedic surgeon would be the next step. He took a bunch of blood, too ... among other things, he said he was going to do a thyroid test.

Meme..antibiotics don't cure colds!

Mima..my Ibs has been so bad this week and I'm like you with the prp stuff..I just keep on going and going!

Happy..I made some gooey choc s'mores brownies and am sending them to work with DH today. I had to try them of course!

Okay this was a bad week, my pain has been pretty bad, my eating has not been so good, the water softner and rust filtering system on our well is not working, several light switches are not working properly, including the motion lights outside due to lightning, the washer is making a funny noies, the dishwahser is going capote (sp) and the ice maker is having problems and DH does not want to do anything about it! and.........the dog had another bad spell and couldn't pull out of it so I had to take her in Thursady and put her to sleep! WE had her for 17 years and Ihave been nursing her around the clock since July cause DH refused to let me take her in.
Finally he said yes when he realized she could not get up anymore. The vet had trouble finding a vein so after 3 tries he gave her a tranquillizer shot and then injected her heart to stop it..it was not a pleasent experience But she is not suffering anymore and I do not have the back breaking job of caring for her...I loved every minute of it but my body would not take anymore. So we lost a cat, the fish and a dog this year and have 3 cats left. I spent all day cleaning up the room in the basement where she stayed and packing up all her stuff to give away. Now maybe I can finish my fall yard work if my body holds up!
