Yay! I Exercised today!

  • I did a lot of extra walking today - walked to work 25 mins, to my doctor's apointment at lunch 20 minutes there and then 20 minutes back to the office, then another 25 minutes home tonight.

  • A miracle...
    Yes, miraculously I managed to venture out of my house yesterday and went for a 20 minute walk. And today... I actually used my Y membership (after several months of paying and not going ) and I went swimming! I swam laps for a full half hour non-stop. I always feel great after I swim. Yesterday I went to the local sport shop and purchased a new swim suit (the lap swimming kind). It wasn't a pretty sight ladies... but once I'm in the water I feel like a dolphin and forget about my cellulite. The only other people there were a group of mentally disabled people and I figured they didn't care about my bootie either. So all in all it was a good afternoon.

    I made it to the Y this morning. First time since last week when I caught this darned cough. I did a good weight workout, then came home, had a small bag of chips, a bag of bridge mixture, and a nap. Now I feel REALLY crappy. At least I'm back on the exercise roll...
  • I have NOT been exercising! Too damned cold and my ear has been bothering me. I did take two huge garden carts out to the compost mountain today - very heavy pushing wet earth and plant crud! (Note to self: get another pedometer as it seems to motivate you!)
  • At it again...
    Went swimming with dh at the Y again on Sunday for about 45 minutes, although not continuously this time. Then spent about two hours planting eighty crocus bulbs. For as much as I love gardening, I really hate planting fall bulbs. But its so worth it in the Spring. Now I have about 100 more tulip bulbs to plant. And I guess its some sort of activity, so that is a good thing, right?
