Jen: Sounds like you get to go shopping!
So last night I had to go to Davids Bridal and get my bridesmaid dress altered. Nothing like staring at your flabby arms for a half-hour. And my feet (in my new shoes) started killing me. So when I got done, I looked at them, and although I had asked for and I though tried on a 7, somehow the shoes I bought are a 6 1/2. So I guess I need to take them back because I CANNOT stand through an hour-long Catholic wedding with shoes that pinch my toes.
Anyway ... here's the latest thing on my mind. I've been freaking out about turning 31 in a few weeks. Isn't that strange? I didn't mind 30 at all, probably because I was getting married three weeks later. Here's why ... I always thought I'd have a couple of kids by this age and just feel a little more settled in my life. Well, I don't feel at all settled. I want nothing more to have children and be a stay-at-home mom (that's when I'm going to start my novel), and I'm frustrated that it hasn't happened yet. Granted, DH and I have been trying for a baby for only two months, but I'm still feeling out of sorts.
Tell me just to relax, girls!
OK, new topic.
Lynne: Don't feel embarrassed about the grocery store. It was THEIR FAULT. I think when you go back you should demand a refund because they inconvenienced you by their machines not working.
Ali: That is awesome on the lunch run! Jeez, I wish I were in shape!
My recent claim to fame: I actually donated to the United Way this year. I usually don't, and donate to other charities on my own(usually animal-related ones, like the SPCA), but after the hurricane, and seeing how hard it hit some people, I felt like I needed to help. I designated money for the main fund as well as to the local battered women's shelter and the American Cancer Society.
I guess I better get back to work. Hi to everyone ... have a great rest of the day!
