Slowing down at the Beach DAILY Monday

  • Aw the pure pleasure of rest and relaxation.

Sometimes our lives get way out of control. We add to much on our plate....not to eat....but to do.

We need to take more time out for R&R and to regroup, rethink and react.

Nothing can't wait, well maybe taking the dogs out for a walk, that can't be done a tad bit later.

Our bodies need time to readjust, to breath, and to heal.

Stress will creep in if we allow it to.

Stave off these stresses by relaxing, resting, laughing and taking the time to listen, to appreciate, and to enjoy.

This is a specially formulated diet designed to help
cope with the stress that builds during the day.

    BREAKFAST
    1 grapefruit
    1 slice whole-wheat toast
    1 cup skim milk

    LUNCH
    small portion lean, steamed
chicken with a cup of spinach
    cup herbal tea
    1 Hershey's Kiss

    AFTERNOON TEA
The rest of the Hershey Kisses in the bag
1 tub of Hagen-Daaz ice cream
    with chocolate-chip topping

    DINNER
4 glasses of wine (red or white)
    2 loaves garlic bread
    1 family size Supreme pizza
    3 Snickers bars

    (eaten directly from the freezer)

    REMEMBER:
    "Stressed" spelled backward is "desserts"

Send this to four people and
    you will lose two pounds.

Send this to all the people you know
    (or ever knew),
and you will lose 10 pounds.

    WARNING:
    If you delete this page
you will gain 10 pounds immediately.
(you want to take the chance?)

  • I love that one, Marcie.

Today is my yoga day, so I'll be relieving a LOT of stress.

    Have a wonderful day, girls!
  • Very interesting about the spelling thingy. I relaxed most of the entire day Sunday. Too many carbs Saturday night had me feeling thick as a brick on Sunday. Feeling much better now

Ellis~ Ya... I have always been a sucker for drummers

    Have a sparkling day everyone
  • Hmmm rest...what's that?

That menu sounds real good. I've have to give it a try

    Have a good day everyone!

  • Grandma Marcie, you crack me up!

Slept in again today...my sleep schedule this weekend has been all goofed up. Now I need to try and get a full day's work into half a day!

I had better get started! Have a great day!
  • Marcie-I think I have been LIVING that diet lately!!! Today I am back on track though!!!
  • HaHaHa!! Marcie, I love your new diet plan! I haven't seen that one before, but am definitely going to print it out to keep!

I had my day of rest yesterday, and I loved it!! When I got up yesterday after sleeping in a little, I gave myself permission to take the day off from life, and I'm so glad that I did. I read the newspaper, layed around the house, played with the dogs, made a big pot of chili and let it simmer on the stove all morning, watched movies and football on TV, took a long bubble bath, read for a while, took a nap....ahhhhh, what a fabulous day!! And I feel ready to face the world again!

There's a lot to be said for taking time for yourself once in a while!!
  • R & R a very good thing. Thanks Marcie for the reminder. But I think I'll stick to the SBD. Your plan is a bit radical for me:

Twodog: Your day sounds lovely. We all need one like that now and again.

    Hi all. Lizzie
  • Hi, Marcie!

Wow! That diet sounds like something similar to what I was eating before SBD!!!! Think I'll stick to what is becoming my new WOL now, however! Honestly, that's how I used to combat stress......eat, eat, and eat some more! Didn't work, though!

Think I'll go for a walk, and then come home to read a while before fixing dinner. Sounds pretty good, huh?

    Have a good one!

  • Marcie, That sounds like my kind of diet. we scheduled yesterday as a Cheat day because we were on the run all day. went to the Ct renaisance faire and had a wonderfull day with the kids. My oldest lives in Mass and he met us there as it is a 1 1/2 hour drive for each. we were so exhausted when we got home that we ordered a pizza. When we fessed up to fitday our day was still only 1500 calories so I geuss it wasn't too bad. I could have added all of your desserts LOL. Enjoy, Julie
