Changing my mindset...

  • Hi all. I regained some weight I took off last year. My pants and jog bras feel too tight currently. Honestly, I feel like a stuffed sausage with the added weight gain. I sleep more and it is harder to move around. I want to lose 120 lbs. I am changing my focus...

    So instead of being obsessive with calories, maintaining a calorie deficit, my focus this year is getting stronger and healthier. My intention in 2025 is on building discipline with focus.

    I want to learn these skills in 2025:
    • Discipline
    • Consistency
    • Mental Toughness
    • Grit
    • Belief of I can!
    • Fortitude
    • Confidence
    • Self-Esteem
    • Self-love
    • Self-compassion
    • Work Ethic
    • Better completed self-care, daily
    I attended an inpatient/ outpatient ED Clinic for my Binge Eating Disorder. Just trying to find a new normal with the food.
    I needed to get this out.

    What is your vision or mission for your weight loss?

  • Instead of getting the dopamine hit from the food, I am focusing on the high of "making the right choice" and letting this be my new dopamine hit. It is really hard sometimes, yet I can't imagine not reaching my goal this year.
    I refuse to be morbidly obese at the end of the year. This is in our circle of control--I must make this happen. Time passes and I do not want to face any more negative health consequences. We always can dig deeper. Good luck!
