Diabetic patients should focus on eating fruits, high fiber, less processed carbs, vegetables. You can have Canola oil, olive oil, fruits like avocado, and nuts.
Perhaps that works for some. That never worked for me. For me, a ketogenic diet was the way to go. Less than 20 net carbs a day (less than 50 total). Then fat and protein to satiety. I avoid processed seed oil when I can..... canola, corn, soybean oils. Saturated fats are good... from meat, butter, etc. I use olive, coconut, and avocado oils for cooking. I just crossed my first goal today (110 lbs lost) and 100 lbs in a year. Best part is I am rarely hungry. Oh, my A1C went from 10.6 to 5.0.
There are multiple paths to success. This one is mine.
