I broke through my stall!!!

  • This isn't technically related to the SBD, since I just started that today, but I'm still super excited and wanted to share my triumph with all you wonderful chicks. I was stalled for almost three weeks, and I had not changed anything (was not cheating on the Atkins diet, was still exercising 3x a week, etc.). I was pretty upset, so I started drinking 80 oz of water a day, running 1.5 miles on the treadmill and using the bowflex every other day, and doing my cardio blast video at home on off days. I was very excited when I weighed myself yesterday and saw that I had lost 2.5 lbs since Thursday, and officially broke through my stall. Yay!!! Now let's just hope switching diets doesn't make me stall again...
  • Way to go. You have been working so hard you deserve to lose the weight.
I couldn't drink that much water unless I was near a bathroom at all times. LOl
    Keep up the good work!!!
  • Good job girl! So you're doing Atkins? I tried that a few years ago, I only lost 8 pounds in like 5 months, although some people have had great success. I'm hoping to do much better on SBD.
The way you exercise puts me to shame! This is Day 7 for me and I'm feeling like thinking out an exercise plan, could not even imagine one a few days ago!

    Keep up the good work.
  • You're doing great, Harmony Breeze!!

Much success to you as you begin SBD.

Post often and let us know how you're doing.

    Good Luck,
    ~Sharon
  • Woo Hoo!

    Keep it up and
    GOOD LUCK.

  • Good for you Harmony!! And welcome to SBD, I think you'll really like it, it's such a healthy WOE!!
  • Hey, Harmony! Welcome to the beach and congrats on breaking though that barrier!
  • Congrats! It sure makes ya feel good when you get past that stall, doesn't it
  • Hi,
I'm new here but I've been reading lots of posts and finally decided to become part of the fun! I finally broke thru my plateau
using the SBD. I'm gradually going into phase II, I guess I'm hesitant about eating more carbs and regaining what I've lost. I did eat an apple today for the first time in 16 days! What a treat! To those of you on a plateau, just keep plugging away and keep moving! We'll all be skinny chicks on the beach in the near future!

  • Welcome haleysmom. I'm relatively new here too. The gals here are really nice and helpful. I'm only on Day 8 and am doing pretty good so far. An apple sound pretty darn good about now.

Good luck and hang in there!
  • I know I'll be afraid to move into phase II, but I keep hearing from all these people on the diet that they continued to lose weight in phase II. So I'll at least give it a try, the worst that could happen is I stop losing or gain, and if I do, I can move back to phase I. I can't wait to eat fruit!
