Started WW last week

  • Hello,
    Im new to the site and to WW. I just started last week. It seems to be the best for me. I like that I have the option of variety. I tried the Atkins diet for 3 days (couldn't stand it!!) I love fruit and wheat bread too much to give it up..lol at least with WW I dont feel deprived. This forum supplied me with the most inspiration and advice. My goal is to lose 50lbs!!..and IM GOING TO DO IT> EVERYBODY KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND WATCH OUT FOR ME!...HEHE..IM ON A MISSION!!
  • Welcome to WW,
    I too like the flexability and O really like the new program. I am on a mission too so lets do this together. I did very well last time O was on it, surgery and other things have put me up more than I want to be, so I am back with flexpoints...
    Good luck and well wishes to you too.

  • We Can do it!!
    L,

    I know we both can get on track and accomplish our goals, thanks for your reply and encouragement

  • You are welcome,
    I too started last week but do to some MAJOR undersestamation of points i was over by more that 20 by weeks end. Had I exercised i would have broken even
    I am doing this on my palm and I love it. i made it to the gym this am and did a good WO. I have had 6 poits so far (go lean waffles) and 2 garden burgers, I also had 1/2 a serving of frozen yogurt. I find the more fiber I eat, the better I feel and it leaves room for treats.
    I also have not decided wether I will enter in my activity poins. my though is to not do it unless I need them at the end of the day,

    I am rambelling Anyway, WW is a good solid program that is easy to workwith within the frame work. I lost 45 lbs more than 4 years ago. I am 15 over WW goal and 5 more on top of that so i am in for 20. No short term gaols at this time I want to change back to what I know is a healthier lifestyle and take it how it comes. keep me motivated and I will try to do the same.

    Be well,
    -L
  • Hi and welcome to WW. I too have started WW but I have been on this program in the past and have had GREAT success. 2 pregnancies later and most of the weight came back but I am so ready to look and feel the way I felt when I lost the weight. I can testify that I felt so much healthier and so much better about myself when I made good food choices. The weight loss is a bonus when you consider how good you will feel when you start losing. I wish you the best of luck in your journey. I too am striving to lose 50 pounds total but my first goal is just to get down to pre-pregnancy weight first (30 pounds)

    I will be thinking of you and wishing you good healthy eating choices!
  • Hi Chele2004 and welcome to WW. I joined in Jan of this year and have lost most of my weight. On my first weigh in I realized that I needed to lose about 55 pounds. I was shocked and thinking; I can't do this! But as of today I have lost 64 pounds. I am in my third week of maintenance. You can do it and I'll help all I can best of luck!
  • wow, great responses!
    Well I could say its from having a baby (16 yrs ago!!..hehe) but honestly it started then and after that...I did lose the weight, but gained some back. At my lowest I weighed 150. I felt great and had so much energy. THAT WAS 10 YEARS AGO!. I think its time for me to regain my youth a vitality, not to mention my health. I do have high blood pressure but I recently found out that my thyroid levels were low. I've been taking medicine (Armour) for almost 2 months and the Dr. had to adjust my mg's to 30 instead of 15mg. So Im hoping that will give me a boost in energy and weight loss, but im not counting on that only, I have to change my eating habits and exercise more. So far, ITS WORKING OUT GREAT. I'VE HAD NO PROBLEM STICKING TO THE POINTS .

    My current weight is 232 my goal is 160 ..I will do it!!.. with the great advice and support of my fellow WW's, It will come easier then doing it all alone

    CW=232
    GW=180

  • Hi, I started WW in Feb 2002 and to date I have lost 90 with about 17 to go. 17 years ago I lost 70 lbs but never stayed long enough to get to my goal. However this time I Will stay long enough to reach my goal and I have noo intention of ever going back to the old me. As of Feb this year I have come off all my blood pressure meds after having them weaned down over several months, that was one of my mant goals I set out for myself when I started. Good luck to you all, i know we can all do it.
