  • Happy August everyone!!!! Thank you as always for starting the thread, Diana!!!!
    Kinda slid through the last half of July: super busy in work and life, so exercise and nutrition kinda took a back seat.
    Hard to believe there are only five more months left in the year!

    August Goals:
    Finish 14 day consecutive Pilates challenge (I'm on day 2 so far)
    Keep cut of of 8PM
    Yoga/Pilates every day
    5-8 servings of veggies
    Drink at least 80 oz of water

    Joan was such a great friend. Almost every day she would stop by to see how things were going. Joan had been there herself. She had battled her weight for years. It was comforting to have someone around who had made it. Joan looked great. Just knowing it could be done made the whole diet easier, somehow. When we try to lose weight all by ourselves, the struggle is doubly difficult. We all need support in tough times. We can count on God's comfort when we diet. He has promised that He will never leave us comfortless. Believe in that promise. When our diets seem most futile, God will come to us.

    Today's thought: With the help of friends, I can lose more pounds!

    WI drop to 168.0 down 1.2 not sure how that miracle happened, 1st day back to the gym???? Anyway the weather is starting to turn down the heat and todays high 79 soooo much better than 100. This month I want to focus on step by step lowering my carb intake so doing it in baby step. And keep up with the gym...so with that said I am off to my morning gym massage LOL I do one in the eve too after the actual workout LOL

  • I am analyzing my mouth/lip situation again. So far, nothing has made much difference. Keep in mind, when I used the old lip balm, my mouth flared up inside and out. Something in there is a problem but I don't know what. Fast forward, my mouth/lips are still flaring up on the inside. Yesterday day it seemed to be flaring a bit more. I did have the cucumber water. I won't have that today and see how it goes. This morning I woke with hives again and normally, if I am going to have hives it's more often when I wake. I wonder if I have developed an allergy to my mouth guards. I have to wear them every night due to TMJ/bruxism. Have I mentioned before that I am so over this? If not, I will say it: I am so over this mouth thing.
  • Good afternoon 163.8 drop down but still not at lowest. Got in over 16, 650 steps yesterday and am so far at 12,045 for the day so have some work to do. BP geen creeping back up so I am going back on the losartan HCTZ for now.

    Been a very busy day at work and I woke up with a very sore stomach and abdomen. Maybe the walking. Maybe the fiber. Maybe the curry I made last night. In any way I am eating bland, low fiber today and it seems to be helping. Hope tomorrow is better.

    I weighed today after coffee and drinking water because I got up running...so I'm not sure if I missed a new low but I'm at my previous new low of 191.0 now. Yay!!!

    I'm cautious because I didn't eat much yesterday though. I'm hungry today but have only had coffee so far...I'm going to hold off until dinner so I can pray and fast...

    I'm a bit sore today. We got an edger and the guy we got it from was really nice. It started right up bit then at home would not start. At least he said he would help with it for free....

    Smoked Turkey Breast 50 calories
    Laughing Cow spreadable cheese wedge 35 calories
    Siggi's vanilla yogurt 110 calories
    Apple 100 calories

    Dinner (700 Calories)
    Salad w/grilled chicken & BHF's ranch 700 calories

    Exercise:
    KCM's Lean Body Circuits, Hi-Lo, Upper Body w/10's, Lower Body w/10's
    My glutes/hamstrings are still sore from doing this one on Monday.

    I getting headache and suspect it is from finishing ovulation...going to take some ib with some cream to go to sleep.

    thank you all for praying for ds1 court today. He got parole again. He said it was against current po wishes. But God's favor is bigger. I pray He stays on the right path and feel like a prayer warrior holding a bat and smashing the plans of the devil as they come at my unsuspecting 19 year old...who is just now realizing he doesn't have everything figured out.
