Now I've got my trusty pedometer clipped on and am feeling a little more in control.

I used to have a stationary bike -great for hanging laundry! 

It was a couple of kms round trip. And worth every finger licked. 
Every day at noon, we walk for 30 minutes, then we still have a half hour to eat lunch. This accomplishes two things, I get my exercise AND I take my full lunch instead of 15 minutes to eat and back to work. So far we have four people, which is great because if one or more can't go there's still company. AND we're all watching our food, too, so I'll be more accountable at work.
