Binge Eating Accountability - Jan 2017

  • Do you struggle with binge eating? Many of us do. This is a safe place where you can post about your latest binge or how long it has been since you binged. You will get support here and hopefully make some friends along the way. Most importantly, we want you to not feel alone anymore.

    You are among friends here!
  • Day 4 No Binges
Today is my Day 4 with no binging and I feel pretty good. Although I usually do well until around the 2 week mark, so that will be my true test.

    Gonna take today by storm!
  • Hi Vixsin! The whole reason I came to the forum today is because I've gone back off bread. I had a great Halloween and Thanksgiving, keeping sugar away and bread in moderation. But then a few days after Thanksgiving I had a horrible stomach bug. Although I was only sick for about 48 hours, I was about a week recovering with crackers, then toast, then bagels, then... well, you know. Basically spending a week without much fat or protein started me back down sugar row. I don't currently own a scale, but at first my jeans didn't feel any tighter and I was doing fine eating brownies, ice cream, cheese fries, drinking wine, and eating rolls, lots of rolls. Then about two weeks ago, I realized that I needed to wear my size 12 Lee mom jeans (which are probably more like a 14 in regular sizes). Ugh! There it was - I had to admit I was no longer moderating my diet. Time to get back on track before I have to dig out my size 14 Lees from the bag of clothes going to Goodwill. My plan is to not have bread or sugar until Easter. At that point, I hope to go back into maintenance mode.

I've been fully off sugar for two weeks. As of Sunday, I've been cold turkey on the bread. I'm suffering a bit with low carb flu right now, but at least my size 10 Lee mom jeans fit again.

ETA: And just to show the extent of my binge, in about a month I went up two full pants sizes. Size 8 mom jeans to size 12. Yikes!

Thanks for posting, Treasa. Do t beat yourself up about it. The important thing is that you're u know what to do and you are currently doing it. Congrats on the 2 weeks. I'm sure it wasn't easy, going cold turkey from anything is extremely difficult. Way to go you!!! 😊😊😊
  • Day 5 here and I can't believe I've made it this long. I truthfully can't remember the last time I was able to string 5 days of clean eating together. I feel great and more importantly, I feel great about myself!
  • Congrats!!!!!! I'm very proud !
