Hello, here for support

  • I just joined and thought I would say hello. My biggest need is for support, to get through the times when I feel discouraged and stuck. I've lost weight before but gained it back and then some. I want to do it in a way that I can keep going on. I know I need to make lifestyle changes.

    I'm new to, and have started with small life style changes too because I want it to be continuous and maintainable!

    Congrats on getting started, I know for me that was the hardest part! We have a similar amount to lose/start weight so what I have been doing is telling everyone! That way I'm not just accountable to myself, but also parents, boyfriend, close friends and a couple of colleagues. The forums are great as well, it's nice to have a place to go and see how others are doing - for me that looks like it will be a great motivation.

    I've previously (successfully) been on the Atkins diet some 12 years ago and the Lemonade diet, but eventually lost sight of the core ethos behind these diets.

    This is the first time I'm on a calorie controlled diet and I've found it to be far more practical and realistic in achieving and maintaining a healthy weight.
    I've only just completed week-1 of my weight loss regime and it has been fairly easy. I've suffered from the occasional headaches (chicken soup helps) and late night hunger pangs (munch on watermelon) and came here for support and got it.
