  • I'm planning to start a clean, full two weeks of Phase 1 on Sunday, January 4. Anyone want to join me??
  • Yes. I am just trying to decide if I will start Sunday or Monday.
  • I am definitely in! DH and I are planning to start on the 1st. I've already been cutting back a little on the bad carbs and increasing my water and actually had a 1# loss this last week - woohoo! I did our meal planning for the first week and hit the grocery store already so I'm ready to go. Most of the meals are from the SBD Quick and Easy cookbook and a couple are from Kalyn's Kitchen.
  • Yes!

I am going to start on January 3rd officially but may start the 2nd.

I've been down this road before and it's the only thing that has worked so count me in!
  • I am starting also. Would love to join in with you guys!
  • I'm in!
  • Count me in. I'm waiting until Monday to make it official, though.
  • I'm in starting the 2nd
  • Yes, I decided I'll start Monday the 5th. Gives me a chance to shop and meal plan.
  • Whoever starts first should start the On Plan Thread for this. Jekel, looks like you!
  • I'm in too!
My plan is to start tomorrow. I already have been planning what I will eat on my first day so it can be a no-brainer.
  • i start Sunday...cooking and food shopping tomorrow!
  • starting tomorrow!! my sister and my husband are also joining me on the beach .... i did it years ago and let it slip away from me. but thats okay, its a new day and going to be a new me
  • Phase 1 for the New Year
I think this is around the time I always start again because I always give myself permission to eat whatever I want around the holidays. It's not like I was at goal and slipped off. I just took a break in the journey. I'm finding it hard to go 100% Phase 1, I guess, but I am working on it. Today will definitely be carb-free. Yogurt with a little nat'l pb for breakfast. Tuna salad over lettuce for lunch, and broiled chicken breast and salad for dinner. Laughing Cow with celery, and handful of almonds for snacks.

    And going to the gym.

I'm still finding my way around this site. I post regularly on another South Beach Forum, but we all post in one place... Journals. So it's sort of like taking several replies here to different topics, and putting them all in one place. Which works well for me since I often tend to rattle on and on.
  • I started Phase I yesterday for the 3rd time. I tore my ACL in my left knee this fall, and had surgery in November. My injury occurred right after I stared back on SB for the 2nd time. Through the process I gained 7 more pounds because my activity was limited and I got lazy about what I was eating. I am feeling better, back up and about and ready to conquer my weight loss goal!
