Carol-Thanks again for all the inspirational reading!

Ramona-Thinking of you and the boys!

I am feeling a bit depressed today--I didn't do any exercise because it was raining and I had to go buy school supplies to sell in the school store, so I'm not able to post to everyone today.

Have a great evening and I love you all!
  • Hey Gals,,,

Things seem to be going a little better today. Yesterday i felt like if i could run away from home i would. But the only problem would be i would have no where to go. Sad isn't it....

But praying things get going smoother b/c my nerves are getting very thin and at the breaking point.

Thanks for the uplifting posts from everyone it has helped.

Those that have things going on in their life that is stressful i will keep you in my prayers.

Sher and Deb ...we never have gotten together yet...one of these days.

  • Sherry - to answer your question...nope, we don't get the set up money. We do get money from the district for classroom supplies, but it is never available until at least September and school starts on August 7. So far, I've spent pretty close to $300, all of it out of my own pocket.

Shelley - I thought of you today...I was leafing through the latest band fund raiser catalog from daughter and saw a solid chocolate dreidel. Yum! What a way to play with your food....

My daughter is going out with a boy on Saturday...to the movies in the afternoon. It's not techncially her first date - her first date was to a hockey game with another boy last year. He's a junior, she's a freshman...he used to date one of her friends....I guess I'd better hang on and get ready for the boy parade!
  • Jennelle-I know what you mean. If you remember, my oldest daughter (15) went with a boy for 9 months, then he broke up with her. My youngest (13) had her first date at the beginning of the summer and that was all. Neither one of them has a boyfriend right now, but get ready for the heartbreak and drama of teen love life!!

We give our teachers classroom supply money, but it is a school based decision. The principals in our district control the money for the schools. That's why I have such a problem, being a bookkeeper. I have to make sure that the money is being spent legitimately!

Speaking of---gotta go! Today is the teacher's first day and I have to help set up a social in the media center.

  • WHEN THINGS GO WRONG

From time to time many things will go wrong. And yet very few of them continue to stay wrong. Most wounds begin to heal almost from the moment they occur. Even the most unbearable grief will start to subside as life continues to move along.

Things that are broken get repaired or replaced. Strategies that don't work become lessons that help you to discover and develop what will work.

When things go wrong it is not the end of the world. It is, instead, the beginning of progress and improvement, learning and growth.

When things go wrong you get to find out where your efforts will truly be most effective. You get the opportunity to build and to strengthen your character, your skills, your persistence and your confidence.

Don't wait or wish for things to go wrong. But when they do, move on, move up and move forward.

Have a great OP day ladies!!!

    HUGS
    Carol
  • Morning ladies.
Debbie and Sherry...CONGRATS ON THE POUNDS GONE FOREVER!
You girls are doing such an awesome job.

I weighed this morning and was very dissapointed that I hadn't lost anything this week. So, I decided to measure myself to see if I could get a boost from that. I've lost 6.25 inches in the last 11 days! That was the validation I needed to stay on track. Thank goodness I took my beginning measurements or I would have probably grabbed a bag of fritos on my way out the door this morning!!!

I hope you are all having a good week.

We have company coming from North Carolina this Saturday for a week and I am extremely stressed. If it was just my BIL I wouldn't worry, but he is bringing his fiancee'. I'm so worried my house won't be clean enough, I'll run out of clean towels, I'll burn the meals, I'll forget they are there and walk through the house in my underwear, etc. SHERRY, CAN YOU MAKE A HOUSE CALL WITH YOUR MOP AND BROOM????!!!!!
  • Ramona: I'm sure your company won't mind, as long as it's the lacy, frilly stuff!!! BTW: Just remember to not go topless!
  • Ooops! I wanted to congratulate you Ramona for the inches lost!!! W@W!!! What plan are you following? Are you still doing the walking tapes? You will be a "skinny chicky" before we know it!

Tonight is yet another special event! Every single one of them has beer there. I guess I don't have enough restraint, when it's in the triple digits, that beer taste pretty darn good! Hopefully after Sunday, I can get back on plan!

    Vickster: I'm sorry your life is in the dumps right now...just know that I think of you daily. {{HUGS}}
  • Hi everyone. I finally have pictures and posted one of all 3 over on the picture thread. Brittany is on the left and Brianna on the right. They are about 3 1/2 months old. Ashley is the little doll in the middle. She is 18 months old, but very tiny. She eats like a little bird.
  • Hi Buds!

It's been a very busy day! Chris moved back home today. When he moved out last year, I moved Drew into his room since it's bigger.I've been spending the day putting up everything in the extra room (which was Drew's old room) that became my "junk room." Chris didn't quit college. He just wanted to move home a few months and save money. He'll be going back to school this fall. His first year went by so fast! I can't believe he's starting his 2nd year! His college is only about a 45 min. drive from here.I tried to tell him to live at home and commute but you can't tell kids anything! LOL. But anyway, atleast he got to see how tough it is to live with 3 other guys and share expenses!

I can't post to everyone now...Got to finish dinner. I'll post to everyone tomorrow!

Debbie.......MISS YOU!! GET THAT COMPUTER FIXED FAST!!!

    HUGS To ALL..........
  • Titan-The kids are adorable!!

The teachers came back today and I am wiped out!! Everything was so hectic today with them back (sorry Jennelle!!) I am the keeper of the keys, and it was mass confusion all day!!

Ramona-WTG on the inches lost!! That's fantastic!! I wouldn't worry about keeping the house clean. I'm sure it will be fine!
