For me, I have the hardest time fighting cravings. I exercise every day with no problems, but put a pizza in front of me and that's the end of it! I'm curious to hear which component of dieting is harder for you.
Exercise. It's much easier not to. Eating right is a no-brainer if I do it right.
Exercise is much harder for me.
I can find foods that I like and are healthy. I can even plan my day to allow for a little treat every now and again without too much difficulty.
Unfortunately, most of the hobbies that I love are sedentary (reading, movies, knitting). Now that I seem to have the eating portion pretty much in check, I am focusing on developing the mind-set of an active person! I most certainly walk EVERYWHERE (no driving), but getting cardio & toning is a real challenge. I like the feeling after I exercise...I just need to bottle that so that I can motivate myself to exercise in the first place!

Mine is kind of confusing. I can lose weight by just eating right but I just crave lots of sweets and don't really take losing weight seriously sometimes. But since I can lose weight by just eating right I can lose a lot more and a lot faster with exercise but I just can't seem to get that exercising addiction like some of you have. That's definitely one addiction that I wish I had.
Definately eating right... I can run and walk but I can't stop myself from Dill Pickle Chips...
I am doing Atkins right now and WOW it's touch with out DQ and my chips!!!!

For me I'd have to say that it's more of a challange to eat right all the time. I love going to Curves mon-fri and actually go through 'withdrawl' when I can't get there (only happens if I'm on vacation or they are closed for holidays).
always eating the right things and the right amount is truly difficult at times though... I'm a sucker for chips, I can turn away from sweets without a problem, but put a bag or Doritos in front of me and bye-bye bag! So i don't buy them anymore. It's easier if your vise is not close by. Now if I want to "sneak" some, I have to go to the store and buy them... too much work!!!
It looks like there's more people who have trouble with the exercise part. That surprises me, but that's probably just because I've gotten so used to exercising that I feel terrible if I don't do it.
The great thing about having difficulty exercising and an easy time with food is that you will STILL lose weight. As for me, if I exercise my butt off and eat crap all day, I won't! I wish I had an easier time fighting the cravings!!!
I would say exercise. I hate it ! Haha. Like someone else said it is just so much easier not to do it.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if there was some device you could buy to shock you when you get a bout of the lazies until you run to the gym or just run- period? It has been so hard for me to keep motivated or undistracted enough to work out for longer than a week. I think the guilt of putting off working out is what really gets to me, and I tend to subscribe to the "well.. today is shot, we'll give it a go tomorrow" school of thought.
Eating used to be a lot harder when I had a desk job and was the runner for our office takeout orders. In a situation where food equals freedom you can bet our point allowances went out the window. After seeing what havock that wreaked on my body I think I developed almost a hatred for fried/fast food. Ive chilled out a bit, and am still battling a torrid relationship with sugar. I feel myself craving less and less though, which is a good thing.
