glycemic index

  • anyone else here follow the principles of the GI diet?
would love to chat about it, and share experiences and tips

I've found it helpful to be more aware of the GI of foods and the effect they have on blood sugar.

it's really helped me improve blood glucose levels, although only keep a rough eye on the GI.
  • sounds technical
  • yes it does tell us more about it, what foods have you cut out due to it?
  • I am very curious about this diet. As far as I am aware it is similar to Sugar Busters (don't know if they have that one in the UK?). SB worked well for my father. It works especially well for people with blood sugar/insulin problems (which runs in my family). I am very curious to know if there are a lot of Sugar free cookies, chocolates and desserts in the UK stores?? It is very big in the US now. When I lived in Wales previously I was not so concerned about that and did not look for sugar free products. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
