One of the fun things is putting a "face" with your name!

This is the way I do it. If anyone has other/easier ways, please post!

You can choose from 13 wonderful ones from our BB by going to
profile/edit options/ change avatar
and clicking on one of the pictures. Remember to click on "submit modifications."

Or you could scan a pix of yourself and scale it to a 60x60 image.
Select profile/ edit options / change avatar
Then click on yes on the "custom" at the bottom and click on "browse" to upload the image from your computer and point to the location on your computer where you stored your image.

Or you could go to
http://www.aol.americangreetings.com/tribe/iam/
and select from their library of icons/avatars.
Choose your icon/avatar and right click on it.
Select "save picture as."
Rename the icon file name from the number to something you'll remember (such as iconflower, icondog, iconsmile, etc).
Save it where you will remember it (such as My Documents, or create a file called Icons/Avatar ).

Now go back to 3FatChicks and open your profile.
Select Edit Options/ change avatar.
Click on yes at the bottom for custom.
Click on browse for the "upload from your computer."
Go back to the folder where you saved your icon/avatar and highlight the icon/avatar you saved.

Remember to click on "submit modifications."

This is so much fun, I might change my avatar on a regular basis!!

I had already found some sites, but the pictures on amgerican greetings are so much more me . The sites I had are http://freezone.com/bts/fztimes/vol5/avatar.html, http://www.animationfactory.com./ and http://www.ssanimation.com/. However some of the pictures are large and may need cropping.

When I tried it, it told me my computer has performed an illegal operation any ideas what I may have done wrong? It happened when I clicked on submit when I tried to change the time so it is correct for where I live and the button for the picture.

Justme - it took me quite a few goes to do it and i followed the instructions. Keep trying - you'll get there!

BFBooty-- Thanks for the sites! Wow there are tens of thousands of icons to choose from! We can use those in our messages, too. I guess we do that in an "attach file" or in our signature. I'll be playing with that!

Justme-- How disappointing. Keep trying. On Sunday the board was experiencing some technical difficulties and maintenance. Maybe it was the board and not you. I would first try using one of the 13 avatars from 3FC. See if the modification takes. If that works, then try bringing one in from a file on your computer.

The board sure is lively with all this graphics!

This is a test to see if I can add an animated picture to my message.

msg#2: That was TOO EASY!! All I did was save an icon, click on "attach a file" and pointed to the file and icon. This is too much fun!

Oh, and BTW that is not green beer, but GREEN WATER!! I'll share it with you... go ahead, pour and enjoy a glass!

That just means we are pulling up the thread to the top for someone to reference to. Sometimes important threads get moved to the 2nd, 3rd or more pages and someone asks the same question...so we "bump" it up for them to read!

I dont know what my problem is,I can get to where the pictures are but cant click on them. I tried to click change avatar but it said my computer performed an an illegal operation again. I dont know much about computers so I dont know what I am doing wrong.I feel so embarrrased that I cant figure it out.
