I would like to know how to figure appropriate calories for any weight. Is there a formula?

There are so many calculators available which u can use to figure out your daily calorie intake, when u put in ur height , weight etc. I use the one on my fitness pal and have got good results with it.

I started at around 215 pounds and just decided to take one small step and removed all soda from my diet. I dropped about 10 in a month! (And I didn't change any of my other habits)
But now I am doing about 1600-1700 calories a day clean diet, sometimes I eat more if I plan on doing a strenuous exercise (sometimes I take really long, difficult hikes on weekends) but on average that's what I eat. I am at 175 right now, I have hit of a plateau right now though.
I agree with others-I would check out the MyFitnessPal app.
