Hi Everybody!! We sure seem to be short on people these last few days--hope everyone is doing something fun and that is the reason they're not checking in. Course who am I to talk--when school gets here I always seem to lose my way to the computer.
Late post for me--seems like the morning just absolutely flew by me. I did get my Body Flex workout in. The bar is geting easier on my neck--the washcloth really helps. I actually did a 1 1/2 workout--someone called right in the middle of the first time I tried, so when I got off the phone I rewound the tape and started over.
We finally got rain last night--I know you guys on the East coast are thinking "big deal"--but we have been DRY here in IL. Unfortunately the rain came in a deluge when I was trying to drive on the interstate to a basketball game with a car full of teenage boys!

Can anyone tell me why semi drivers seem to be able to see to drive fast even when noone else can? We did make it up there--about 50 miles and back thank goodness, but my DS, who has been driving all of a month thinks I drive like an oldy lady!

Oh well, I kept them all safe right?
Quiet day today, housecleaning (eternally) laundry (lots of sweaty gym clothes) Body Flex

and grilling out dinner. The weather is back to the 70's so it will be perfect. DS only had basketball this a.m. and then needs to go back and lift weights for football tonight, but should be home by 6:00 so we can eat a decent time for a change.
Yesterday on my errand running I picked up the "South Beach" diet book that everyone has been talking about--Coincidentally it was the featured diet in my Woman's World magazine I got yesterday too. Can't wait to sit down and read it and see what it is all about.
Pooky, I am the original packrat--many of my jobs on my summer list are weeding through jammed cabinets and cupboards. I'm getting there slowly, but it is like climbing Mount Everest.
Jif, Happy Birthday a bit late!! :cake:
Ruth, I just got a George Foreman grill from my mom this year--I have a really good recipe for chicken breasts with portabella mushrooms and red onions in balsamic vinegar if you are interested.
Linda, so you are doing South Beach--do you like it? I skimmed the magazine article yesterday, but need to reread it and get going on the book. The weight loss they promise sounds great!
Kudos, sorry about the playdate, but I bet your DS enjoyed lunch with mom--good job on resisting the friess!!! You are Superwoman--I LOVE those things!!
Okay, I think that that's it for me!!! Hope to see/hear from everyone soon.
"Dondar" are you lurking--wanting to hear how you little guy is doing!
