I just tried pickled cauliflower.....

  • And it was surprisingly good! I am pretty sure it is legal, as it is 0/0/0 on the jar. Obviously I could not eat 2 cups worth at a sitting, but I am a olive oil/vinegar salad dressing kind of gal, so I figured I could chop a couple of florets into my salad or mix it with my regular steamed veggies to give it a little punch.

I am enjoying finding new ways to liven up bland foods without the use of batter and fattening dips.
  • There is also a "hot mix" of pickled cauliflower, jalapenos, red peppers, celery and carrots. You can eat everything but the carrots....it's tasty!

  • That sounds good, I am going to have to get that one and pick the carrots out!

Try some diced jalapeņos and pickles in your salad ...I even use hot pepper hoagie spread in my salads or even the omelette at breakfast (counts in the 2 c veggies from lunch or dinner) and really adds a lot of flavor. Also add spicy mustard with horseradish to oil and vinegar dressing... Or most of the blah walden farms dressings.
