Wacky?! Yes! I have no idea why I am awake at 4:56 am but I can't sleep anymore. Go figure!

The house is amazingly quiet at this hour, only me and the birds are awake. Perfect time to get online (yeah, I'm cozy in my bed with my laptop on the breakfast tray). I am hungry but I need to wait or I'll wake up the whole house. I had forgotten how hard Induction is. I wanted to eat everything in sight! Last night's dinner was a no go--I flambeed the ribs. I now have rack of charcoal briquettes. Dh laughed his head off but I wasn't amused. I had turned the ribs over on the barbeque and I figured that I would cook them for the same amount of time on the other side. Instead, the fat caught on fire and burned the sucker. I even pre-boiled the ribs too to make sure it wouldn't happen! Hmmmm..wonder if that's why I am hungry now?

Robin, I still couldn't paint my house if I wanted to, it would take weeks just to scrape off the old paint and then fill in cracks and make repairs and then finally paint. Too bad you don't have the student painters there, I hear they do really good work

Good Morning, Pooky! Bring your coffee here and we'll sit on the front porch and admire my peony tree which opened three wonderful pink blooms overnight. Every year I worry about this beauty all winter and every June she does her thing. I also have a new lilac which has its first bloom. It is pink in bud and cream as it opens into flower. (Doesn't take much to keep me happy!)

The painters will be here at 9 this morning which kind of screws up today's plans. Harry was going to come with me to Smiths Falls and bottle wine while I had my piano lesson. Now someone has to be here - not that we don't trust our painters but Lucy will be on the lookout for escape routes as they go in and out. I may have to cancel piano (I did do my transposition) and ride herd on her myself while Harry goes to town.

Möel is going to till my veggie garden this afternoon if it's dry enough. Yippee! I really want to get seeds and some plants in there soon! This is my latest start ever! Harry did get the grass cut in the dog Garden yesterday - it was 8" long from all the rain. It made it rather difficult for my daily Poop Patrol but the Girls loved it. Today they will be tracking in grass bits until it gets raked up.

Well is is certainly hump day but no slacking for me today. I did that all day yesterday. I have running on the agenda!!! to B-ton to the b-scout store. I bounced my check bood paid some thing too early and forgot about the auto payments i had planned so i can not buy anything. I am over by 90$ OMG!!! so no shopping for me but my check tomorrow will cover it all but i do not dare take any chances.

so for me it is clen up time get ready for the next few days at work and then hitail it out of here and run for the rest of the day.

Anyone tried the Carb Solution Chips? I tried the bbq type, they were not too bad in my opinion. If you crave the crunch of chips a pretty good substitute. A little pricey at over $2.00 for a very small bag.

I had a great time window shopping with KFS at Coply Place yesterday. Her DH has a Nav system in his car so we took that, KFS still got lost and I was no better!

We had a nice lunch.

When I got home yesterday I had a call from my Aunt. She called back and we spent more than 2 hours on the phone. most of it was about my father's lovely bride! I felt so much better knowing I was not alone in my opinion of her. But what really bothered me was all the trash she has been saying about me to make my father think I am doing mean things. Aunt assures me it is ok because she is just making rope to hang herself. Gosh i hope so. I hate being accused of things I didn't do, It is hard enough to keep track of what I did do!

Slamed with a cold this morning to top it all of. Last coffee with the girlies today and a lunch with friends. I have been OP for 4 days now.

Happy Wed to all..I am working as usual. Had a lovely 6th birthday party for DS last night, only 2 friends and their parents, went out for pizza and games and came home for cake! It was fun and he had a blast!!!

Getting ready for the big 2 week trip to FL...we leave next Friday for 2 weeks I cannot wait....sorry Ruth had to say the F word!!

Getting ready to go take a walk and clear my head! My SHDH is grumpy again this morning-I try to stay outta his way-then he forgot to take the lunch I packed him and called home bi*******-I finally hung up on him--Sheesh-what more can I do? Do I have to listen to him rant and rave cause he got up on the wrong side of the bed? I think Not!...
I have a job interview at 10:30 this morning. It is at a Chiropractors office as an Office Assistant, I hope I get it just so I can feel a little productive in the money making arena, and not have to listen to SH every time I need $20!

Still OP--and praying I stay that way--I gotta go and call the Dr. for Tori-she has had this nasty cold for about 10 days now and can't shake it, tonight is her preschool program, they sing-then they have to tell what they wanna be when they grow up-guess what Tori is gonna be??? A Doctor--I'm so proud who didn't wanna be a Dr. when they grew up? I still do.....

Alyssa has a big game tonight of course-same night as Tori's program--Sheesh!

I hope you enjoyed your morning quiet time. .....about the bathroom......well, Im trying to talk hubby into changing the toilet and tub (toilet at least) my gf that came to help with the house, has changed many toilets, and said she would help me if I could talk him into it. So....until I can do that, and convince him that a new floor would be lovely....Im not going to start anything. He doesnt go away for days at a time for me to attack the bathroom while he is away

Ruth, your gardens sound so nice.......you have certainly inspired me to get back into it. Hubby and I went to home depot last night to pick up some flowers for the front, and ALL there petunias were gone. Nothing left but a mish mash of sad looking flowers. So tonight, I think we are heading to a nursery to pick up some plants.

Not much else is new here, I hope everyone has a great day and all the shdh's get their sh*t back together for you ladies!!

Peach, that is excellent advice!! I did just that yesterday when daughter in law announced (in her husband's absence) that she was going to home school her 2 kids! The woman cant stay out of bed long enough to shower and make herself presentable to the world let alone her husband, and she is going to home school? Dont get me wrong, its great for some ppl, but not this woman.

Well, anyway, I let hubby rant and rave about it to me when we got in the truck. I didnt have to say a thing...I just smiled and nodded my head

Well I even made it to the gym today. Things have been hectic lately and I jabbed my leg with an aboriginal spear at DD school- how co-ordinated is that and the stitch bothers me after too much walking, etc. I made it 20 minutes before my leg started to feel numb - a few more days and the stitch will be out.

Last coffee with the girls was fun - we all kinda disappear once school lets out and resurface in late Aug. - does that qualify as migration

Staying OP and doing the slow & steady thing. L will have to help me update my wardrobe again in the fall, hopefully I'll have gone down at least one more size by then!

Good early afternoon, Chickies. I went to the pool early this morning and got in a good hour of deep water jogging and swimming. It's a real b***c to get out the door at 7 am but I always feel so good after.
We're having a lovely sunny and rather too warm day here so no gardening for me. Instead I've been stuck in our home office catching up on some nasty paperwork. UGH! Have I ever mentioned how much I hate paperwork? Ok, ok, so you're sick of hearing about it. Anyhow, I have to make a run to the bank pretty soon and then I'm sure I can find some housework to keep me out of mischief for the rest of the day. It's been weeks since I've dusted and it's amazing that dh hasn't criticized me about it yet. Probably because he's been finding so many other things to pick on. I generally pay him no heed anymore. Some of us are nit-pickers when it comes to housework and others of us (me) are more easy going. The mystery is how we opposites always seem to wind up with each other. This morning I found myself feeling very pressured, simply because chores are piling up. How is one little person (well, not so little) supposed to do everything from keeping up a half acre of flower and veggie gardens, a house, paperwork for the business plus volunteer work for service club? It's just not possible unless you're willing to give up any "me time" at all, and I'm not. So, I cut a few corners here and there and I refuse to feel guilty about it.
Anyhow, that's my life and after reading the posts here, I realize that just about everyone is in the same boat. Isn't it great we have each other to cluck to?

Well, I am back--
The interview went well I think, but even if offered I'm not sure I could take the position. It is 9-6 full time-and very low in pay-this is what I got into troublw with before-the whole"is it worth it to work" thing--well for that money probably not-but it will keep SH from thinking I HAVE to depend on him.

Get this--
I made Tori an appointment for the Doctor today-she has had a cold for about 10 days and cannot shake it-so I called SH and told him, asked him if he wanted me to write a check to cash-or just one to the Dr. (yes, ladies he is VERY anal about the checkbook) and he tells me that the lock box is locked (it always is) with the check book in it(yea-I know) and he has the key on his key ring...that totally set me off! How ridiculous is that? That I would not have access to the check book if an emergency came up??? Well, I totally let him have it, and then hung up the phone .....SH!!
Usually the key is hanging up in the basement, and believe me ladies it is not like we have millions of dollars in that blasted thing anyway!
So yes, I had to cancel Tori's Dr.'s appointment--I am on fire LAdies!

Well, I am still Op though that is one thing.
