Hey! Fat mom needs friends and motivation - lol! ;)

  • Hi guys! Just joined up today and I'm looking for some buddies! I can't promise I'll be on everyday as I'm busy busy busy (but who isn't??), but I'm giving it a wholehearted go this time. I was 242 3 weeks ago (the heaviest ever!), and I'm down to 232 as of yesterday. It's hard to stick to a structured diet and exercise plan when you're surrounded by screaming kids and chicken nuggets! I've been counting calories (1400) and fitting in 30 mins of cardio most days (OK - I'm being totally honest because that's what this is for, right?? probably 3-4 days of the week), and most importantly, am excited and hopeful this time around!

  • Yeah I think thats the hardest thing...cooking with kids...Im tryin to get them acclumated to a healthy lifestyle with me but I can deny them all those treats and chicken nuggets ect are so easy for my hectic life
  • Hey welcome! Sounds like you're off to a great start! I'm not at the chicken nugget stage yet, my daughter is about to turn one in a few months. I'm hoping to avoid that part and just bring healthy snacks for her but we shall see. So good luck! I hope we can all lose the weight!

  • I need help. I need friends. I'm so alone and have no friends. Just my husband. I am in a midlife crisis. I quit my job in january. I'm a nurse and not even sure I can be a nurse anymore. I have no motivation. I'm broke and depressed. We don't have enough money for me to buy healthy foods.
    Please someone help me, I want to live again.

    Hey hot sauce, your doing great. If you increase your walking to 45 minutes you will start burning your fat stores. I do my fitness pal and count calories too.

    Welcome to 3 fat chicks, wanttoliveagain. I am new here too, im sorry you are feeling so down, motivation is hard to come by, I get mine by looking at myself naked in the mirror. Lol... scares me into moving, I know how you feel, I do not have many friends, I work too much, I am in retail, so its me and my guy, when he's at work, I work out, just start by walking, take awalk each evening after dinner, not only good for your body but clears your mind. Make a goal to try and walk every day, I hate exercise, but after a brisk walk I feel charged up.
