Another great day is cranking up out there. I hope it's as glorious where you are.
Well, my herb garden now looks as close to Martha Stewart's as it will ever be. Harry hugged tired old me last night and congratulated me on two days of very hard work. I was out there this morning and it's looking good, especially in the early morning light. Today I'll be doing more work out there getting ready for tilling. You chicks probably think I'm nuts but I have cut back. We used to have a 60' by 200' veggie garden out there but now it's 1/2 that! Yes, I was nuts. I also have a big perennial bed in front of the house, another in the dog garden
and assortted wildflower beds and other flower spaces. But I love working out there and really appreciate being able to do it this year after last year's sore shoulder/wrist season!
Dogs are barking - be back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This barking is out of hand! The Girls feel the need to defend us against every noise from outside. Yesterday was difficult as my neighbours were gardening and their dog was out. Hershey really starts it all - she is protecting her daughter's virginity, I think although "Austin" is an altered male. I am seriously considering one of those anti-bark collars although I hate to zap my darling girl. The current panic was over a truck across the street but they acted as though it was in the kitchen!
Jennifer, what IS with that boss of yours! Do you ant to borrow my chicken purse filled with lead shot?
Pooky, I am sorry about the Paxil. I am sure you will cope in your usual inimitable way. DH sounds very supportive.
Nasus, maybe nasty notes are the way to get a handle on your family. Don't let them doormat you any more.
Adrienne, I hope all the good chickie advice re your stall helps.
Robin, we want pictures!
A big wave to the rest of the chickies. Have a great day!
to L and all to come.
